Life altering… that’s hard, but something I wish every person had the experience of is flying. Be it on a commercial jet, a light aircraft or a helicopter. And even better if you are a youngster. The wonder of flight is amazing. |

What might be life altering for one may not be for another.
I grew up in an extremely violent part of the world and witnessed many atrocities but none of those was life altering. My world continued as it always had done.
I lost numerous family members but life went on unchanged just with less people in my circle.
I was 53 before I experienced something that I felt was life altering at the time and that was something which the vast majority of people experience on a regular basis and wouldn't consider it life altering.
It was simply a trip abroad. |

"What life-altering things should every human ideally get to experience at least once in their lives?"
What a great question! Each to their own but I’d say higher education, work/live in a very different country, becoming a parent, falling in love and working for a charity or doing something where you really make a difference. |

I think as teenagers there should be some compulsory part of the curriculum where you live for a month with differing disabilities so that as a society we have more awareness and our brightest and most curious minds find solutions for the daily hurdles and challenges that so many have to suffer through
Hopefully we'd be much more thoughtful as we matured through adulthood |

I've always said that EVERYONE should have periods for at least 1 year of their lives and that some of them should be really bad and some unpredictable ones, so then they may understand a little more when others have this |

Great idea. Even a couple of days would help |

"Riding a motorbike.
Probably not life altering but I feel people that haven't ridden one have missed out on something. "
It really can be if you over cook it |

"Fly in a small aeroplane. Preferably above the clouds..You will never view the World in the same way again.
I viewed it via a sick bag doing that "
But you will never view it that way again.. |

To love and be loved.
To have nothing.
To have too much.
Sex where you lose yourself completely.
Think you're going to die, but don't !
True friendship.
I won't say have children. It is absolutely life altering but not something everyone has control over. |
