We've only 2 couples on our friends list we've not met yet, but have chatted to a lot and feel comfortable with them.
Otherwise it's just kept to people we meet or intend on meeting.

My friends list is just that - people I chat to regularly & consider a friend. Some I've met, some Id like to meet & others who just make me happy.

Friends we’ve met or people we want to meet or people we’ve chatted to a while.
We get a lot of friends requests from randoms - not sure why people want to be friends with people they’ve never spoken to…

We only accept friend invites from folk we have actually met,and would only ever send to someone we have met.
Any random friends invite we receive we ignore,put a pvt note by their profile and ignore and future correspondence they might send,as they have clearly ignored our wishes. |

I've only met 2 of those on my friends list. I get friends requests from people I've never chatted to and I ignore those.
I've no interest in simply looking at people's pics so I don't send requests unless I've been chatting to someone for a while. |

Some I've met, some I've connected with in some form and some I'd hope to meet one day if I'm ever in the area.
Heading to London for a few (work related) days soon so hoping to meet 1 or 2 while down there. |

Really good question: while I really do love making friends here but I am not doing so by inviting them; that usually only happens after I have known them a long time or I have met them in person. For one, there are public pictures of me so no need to see any beyond that if somebody is just a picture collector.

I've not met all of them, but I don't accept randoms. I've certainly chatted with all of them and if we don't chat for a few months I tend to delete.
I've currently met around half, with plans to meet more. |

I have 50 on my friends list and I have met all but 6 and most of those I haven't met I chat to regularly so no I don't collect friends just for the sake of it. |

We only make or accept friend requests for those we intend to meet at that time. If we decide we’re not meeting someone then we remove them from our list.
Lily routinely goes through our friends list and ‘tidies’ it up.
It creates an easy way for us keep track of those we’re actually interested in. |

I'd never send a random invite, and will ask if they would accept while messaging, but some (including me) have private pics to share. We may not ever meet, but because I travel and stay in hotel rooms there may be a chance. Plus, it makes it easier to get to know people as the updates are always at the top (I'm a mobile user).
No surprises that, as a single guy, I don't get many random friends invites lol |

I haven't chatted to anyone long enough on here for me to think about friend adds. My list is empty and I expect will only get added to if someone I'd like to meet wants to meet me too. |

Me too, but the hotlist doesn't allow others to see my privates or me to see theirs. Plus, I don't edit my hotlist as much as I do my friends  |
