Welcome to my football thread, it is for all leagues, who else is excited that it is starting today? I am, what team do you support and are they playing today? I support man city and they are playing against spurs on sunday and I reckon that we will win with 1-0

I’ve got them down to win 1-0 too; hubby filled out a footie competition form for me, our match is the bonus match this week

Not expecting much from the team this season though.

That’s a very pessimistic prediction, I reckon you’ll beat them by 3 or 4 to be honest. The Kane stuff must be having a negative affect on the team.

As a Spurs fan, I’m laughing at last nights result. I’m looking forward to tomorrow, I think it will be a great game. Apart from the league cup final, we have a good record against city recently so think it will be a close match. 2-2 draw but I’m being very optimistic

Agree with your predictions I think your guys will just edge it.

Watford are one of those teams that we should beat but somehow manage not to last couple of seasons L, W, D, D

You’ll have the ‘Arry Kane bounce, he’ll score a hat trick!

Haha so much faith in Kane that I just don’t have. Yes he scores goals (sometimes) but the team play better without him. I think I was one of the few that actually wanted him to leave.

I agree with you, was surprised the Chelsea faithful wanted him to join us, I’d have rather shit in my hands and clapped! "

That’s a step to far

Apart from Brentford you had a tough start fixture list, you should get something out of the next two games. Then you play us at yours where you always seem to find the umpf. Don’t give up it’s just the beginning

Close with both, surely robbed off a win at Anfield by the red card.

I haven’t seen it so will reserve judgment, but pool needed a penalty to score and still couldn’t finish it against 10

I’m smiling though as a win would put us top, last time that happened was 2014…. It’s so rare I remember

This is the sort of game we mess up. To be fair we haven’t exactly dazzled so far this season, scrapped three 1-0s; Son & Bergwijin missing, Tanganga playing out of position, midfield full of defence.

Had Son and Dier. I thought Son injury was minor and he will comeback soon. So just kept him on bench. Dier left in 10 minutes. Only saving grace is that one of my mates has Tanganga who got red.
