This made me chuckle as I always thought the cravings were had by the person giving birth - usually the woman?

"Olives...I didn't like them before I was pregnant then I couldn't get enough. I went off bread. Couldn't stand the smell of it"

I love bread but couldn't eat it for the first 6 months of pregnancy but I did keep trying. After 6 months I could finally stomach it, I remember sitting outside the bakery crying as I ate a ham salad roll as I was so relieved. I wasn't hormonal in the slightest

Chams or Socials

1) chicken, stuffing & boiled egg salad sandwiches & lucozade

2) I actually couldn’t eat & just sucked chunks of chocolate - I wasn’t a chocolate person. Strong smells made me . I weighed less after giving birth than before I got pregnant.

People who craved ice, ice lollies and water - you were probably anaemic. If you've not been checked for anaemia since your pregnancy, it's worth a check now

Yep, it's called pica. Pica means eating slightly odd things kinda obsessively. It's often indicative of a nutrient deficiency somewhere.......

^^^^^^^ "Couldn't stand the smell of frying" me too. I'd smell a fry or grill a mile away & it would make me feel ill. I couldn't eat my fav sambo & soup either...my fav sambo- Ham, chesse, garlic, tomato & onion with tomato & basil soup. As soon as I had baby I wanted tomato soup immediately but I couldn't bare it through whole pregnancy...

Pineapples.

We were abroad the one time and she wanted a pineapple (again) two hours it took me to find one. She sat on the bed with a knife, plate and said pineapple and ate the lot, the sounds she was making were quote hot infairness and worth the search.

When I was pregnant the only craving I had was quite healthy. I couldn’t walk past the freezer without grabbing a handful of frozen petit pois. Lovely fresh tasting ice cream.

Somewhere near here

I was a veggie with my two children, but craved bacon with them both, gave in with my second and had bacon, my best friends gave it up for me.

My recent pregnancy I couldn’t stand bacon, I craved salt and vinegar crisps, Staffordshire oatcakes and very burnt toast
