Is anyone else a director of a small buissines?

I own a exterior cleaning company i transitioned from driving lorrys to this just before lockdown.

Great luck. Anyway rules ment I was unable to get work in both fields lost all my contracts on the same day.

I just spent all my savings building my tools then it struck and basically had a year and a half worth of no income not entitled to any type of grant.

And basically all ive done is borrow money where I can.

Financially screwed me.

After bounce back it sorted me out the lockdown 2 come and got me further in crap.

Right now ove got a lot more cash flow but its going nowhere as I'm so behind.

I cant sleep at night as I'm so mentally screwed by the whole thing.

Things like my daughters birthday etc its this weekend ive tried my best but its just rubbish.

Things were going really well past 2 months and it just keeps crashing, no work then some work

Trying to get the more commercial work but I'm finding it super hard.

I'm about a month away from losing my flat.

Has anyone got any advice please? Maybe someone works in the debt field.

Or has there own business and has some ideas for the commercial side?

I was doing so well before lockdown.

Had 40k in savings irs now all gone and im minus 20k now and just struggling all the time seems no matter how much I get its just getting sucked up into anything.

Its really hard to reach out to mates just wondering if anyone else is going through the same.

Would have had a quick fix if this was 3-4 years go but the big powers decided to screw the little guy and pull ad sens from people who are under 10k views a month and 1k subs

So starting a YouTube channel and putting your knowledge out there is off the table for a quick fix

Maybe would trying to build though may pay off in 10 months or so

You could try a go fund me see that works

Although desperate I just dont think i could do the go find me stuff.

Everything ad wise is money. Not a little amount either.

Lot of competition but still so much potential.

We do have a you tube account and page wre practically every where we can be.

I think ill wait it out althoigh I'm in mental torture, I think the option will be bankruptcy

Start again when i can.

I've invested to much now.

Put everything i can into it for the past 2 and a half years.

Could you go back to driving lorries for a while ? I thought we had a shortage of drivers and some firms are giving a lump sum to start.

Driving again or some sort of labouring?

Then try the business again when things pick up

In meantime talk to your lenders and explain, rather than missing payments unexplained

Good luck OP

I've heard that lorry drivers are in great demand... have you tried to get back on the road?

They have made it really tough with lorry driving now that the ir35 has come in. You can't do it through the buissines.

Also my cock qualification has run out and its about 500 quid a go.

Really rubbish situation I've been robbed so hard.

Will be sorting out what I can now today. And see what my options are.

There is some good advice available out there, but having seen a friend go through a similar situation money-wise I can recommend contacting a group called Christians Against Poverty.

They worked with him to come up with a plan, they came up withba debt mamagement plan, managed to reduce some of his outstanding balances, contacted some other creditors to get him a bit of breathing space and to stop interest piling up on debts, and in spite of the name they weren't churchy or in any way evangelical.

Best of luck OP.
