I’m half way through Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller after recently being reminded about it in the script of Cape Fear (Robert De Niro gives it to Juliette Lewis to read), I swear to god it is THE FUCKING MUCKIEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ and truly amazingly well written.
Anyway, any mucky recommendations? Or just recommendations for that matter? |

"Not mucky but I'm just on the latest book of the Charlie Parker series, by John Connelly. Mystery, thriller, bit of paranormal, lots of humour.
They sound good, will add to my list. Cheers!"
Good stuff. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did! |

"My Penguin year by Lindsay McCrae
It’s about him going to study Emperor penguins, sounds boring but is very interesting read "
This is what’s good about these threads, hearing about random stuff totally off your radar. |

I'm reading Shane McGowan's autobiography written by him & his girlfriend, whilst reading another book at the same time called "The Chronicles of Tao". I've read it before but came across it searching for something else! It'a about a Chinese kid who gets sent to a Taoist temple to learn martial arts. The Taoist masters call him "little butterfly." He has masters that can perform all sorts of martial arts feats (superhuman). He becomes a golden gloves boxer in America & a martial arts instructor. It's all about Taoism, Chinesee culture and the Chionese Revolution. |
