Great band.

Have never seen them live, but bought my first CD in the 90s, and have been a fan ever since.

Love their current single 'Beautiful Beaches', and I also believe that they have only ever released one track with a person's name in the title.....

(I'm sure that was a question on PopMaster recently, but I may be mistaken)

Yeah, I’ve been into them since ‘91. When I first heard ‘Come home’, I’ve never really been a fan of ‘Sit Down. I think ‘born of frustration’ is probably their best song though.

I have a magic memory when i was kid listening this song Frustation , i was in my skateboard stoped watching the sky in a raining day and for few seconds i saw almost every drop of rain falling , i should ha probably 13, 14 years old , is a magical memory that looks so vulgar but the feeling was so freedom

Another old school indie kid here! i can remember it Sit Down and Come Home being played every week and the crappy flea pit midweek indie club i used to frequent in the late 80's (where i also first heard The Charlatans 'The only one i know' and Primal Scream as well).

Seen them live a couple of times, as crew though, not a paying punter- they were pretty good and seem to be in that fortunate position now of being an old band with a passionate band of hardcore followers

Seen them a few times, once on a farewell tour in Glasgow that obviously didn't end up being farewell! Then they must have been a bit down on their luck as saw them at a very small local festival, still playing great. Tim is such an stage presence, that dancing! Happy to see them on top again

Huge James fan. And certain somgs of theirs have helped me through tough times.

Ive seen them in concert several times.

But about 5yrs ago i was lucky enough to be invited by a friend to watch them in private, when they played a session at the BBC Maida Vale studios, hosted by Jo Whiley.

Sitting on the speakers, anongst the band as they played, very informal.

Then spent a few minutes afterwards chatting to Tim Booth and Jim Glennie. Absolutely lovely guys

Fell in love with James, back in the day, completely by accident when I saw them live. Went to see Bowie at Maine Road (CTID) and James we're the support act. Non of us knew much about them as Sit Down hadn't happened yet. Basically, Bowie was rubbish (which still upsets me to this day, but I'll always love his work) but James were fantastic. 1st thing Monday, went and bought Gold Mother.

Seen them live and love the fact they always play rare and b-sides as a regular thing. I messaged Tim on Twitter after a gig about not playing ‘sit down’ wasn’t expecting a reply but I got one. I won’t share what he said but it was polite and to the point

Favourite song is ‘Laid’ and not only because the lyrics ‘dress me up in women’s clothes, messed around with gender roles’ were great to hear as a young crossdresser but it’s about being in love with the wrong person, something that blighted my life consistently.

My favourite band still going and have seen them lots of times, most recently a couple of weeks ago at Usher Hall, on their 40th Anniversary tour, complete with Orchestra and choir. Simply brilliant!
