To anyone who’s got their results today or their children or even grandchildren have today a massive well done and congratulations if you/they did well if you/they didn’t, well remember that there’s clearing options at uni and they’re being super accommodating due to the pandemic etc.
I got my confirmation today I’m off to uni as a mature (haha) student.
Never to old to study.
Feeling super proud right now.

Congratulations OP! I'm very happy because my brother who is autistic and was non verbal until the age of 6 has had his place to study Law at one of the top universities confirmed today. I'm not happy because I'm going to end up being the underachiever in the family but hey ho. ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

That’s an incredible achievement. Good luck to him. I’m sure you’ve achieved more than you realise lovely lady. There’s more to life than a degree etc. Success can be measured in many ways. X |

Thank you Jennie! I'm really proud of him, he's going to a better uni than I did so I'm being a bit daft but when I think back to all the times people would judge him or think he wouldn't achieve anything because of it? It makes me proud. He's going to have to put up with his big sis visiting his college though.
I hope your eldest is happy and does well in the way that makes him happy, that's the important thing. x |

I am so proud as he wanted to give up after the HNC. I think he’s tired of studying. A career path is now the issue….. It’s hard seeing him confused. Luckily he has a well paid part-time job to keep him going for now xx |

I did a complete change of life path. I was on my way to nursing and had worked in the NHS for many many years but then had a mental health episode and it changed my thought process big time.
I am now going to do an English degree with creative writing and I want to teach.
It’s never to late to change.
I hope he finds what he wants to do. If not then a well paid job is all you can ask for really if he’s happy. X |

Thank you x This is just what I needed to hear
I think it’s daft expecting kids to know what they want to do at such a young age |

My nephew gets his gcse results Thursday but him mum, dad and sister are away (he chose to stay behind to celebrate with his mates). I'm going to make sure he has a fuss made though. |
