How common it is to catch feelings for someone you ve met here?

Is it a good sign or otherwise?

Opinions, please!

That's how we became a couple.

Met here. Had lots of fun. Caught feels. Now we're a couple here.

Works for us! And I know at least one other couple that is the same. X

It’s a big ‘no’ from me but it is what some actively seek.

As long as you’re both on the same page then no harm done

.

I don't think it's good or bad primarily. It just is. If everyone is happy with that then that's fair enough.

It's not that common but I think because it's more likely to be spoken about it might seem that way?

You are right!

Communication is the key.

How to know if you both are at same page?

Communication, right?

It’s hard when you catch feeling for someone and it’s not reciprocated. I found it easier not to have repeat meets in the end to avoid it.

Surely it depends if you're open to more than meeting for sex? And that will be unique to individuals and their situations. For me as a married woman catching feelings isn't what I'm looking for. I have my guard up and won't get that close to anyone. Its worked so far.

I know plenty couples on here that met on fab . The feelings can develop if you are spending time with each other. I also have a couple of single female friends that have a strict 3 meet only rule. It saves them getting hurt as they are not looking for a relationship. It works for them and it's a good way to protect themselves from getting hurt. Each to their own I guess. It all depends what you're looking for. Sometimes you can meet the right person when you least expect it

Depends on how deep the feelings go OP. I know I won’t meet anyone I don’t like.

It’s liking someone as a friend catching feelings?

I don't think so. I'd say when romantic feelings are involved.

I have to have certain feelings to get in bed with someone. But it's easy to seperate friendly feelings from "love" and any sort of commitment.

I think it would be easy to develop feelings if you are regularly meeting the same person all the time like the fwb thing …. I think one of the only ways to avoid that would be to not keep going with the same person/people and then you don’t get caught up in any drama etc

The right place

I wouldn’t really want to keep seeing someone I had no feelings for. I need to like someone if I’m going to see them. That might (and has) developed into liking someone a lot. But I know where the boundaries are. It’s a bubble.

I think you have to have some degree of feeling for a person you meet, it depends how you deal with the situation if you feel more then they do, it doesn’t have to develop into love, a great friendship can be enough at times

I was warned about catching feelings on here and had my boundaries up as totally friends only casual zone.

But as we know, no prophylactics are 100% effective

Yeah, a holiday away from someone is a good idea so you don't catch those nasty feels.

Some of you seem to think that liking someone equates to feelings. That isn't what I take it to mean. I'm perfectly capable of liking those I meet I just don't want any romantic involvement. There's no room for those sorts of feelings. I assume that's what the OP meant.

It’s not a myth, but it is rare. You both have to be just the right amount of messed up to still have some feelings , but not too many

Its something I need to have in poly relationships, I cannot practice tantra without serious feelings for that person, do I act in society's norms on those feelings no. I embrace and bask in them in our playtime, nothing more

Not sure if that sounds like a gift or a curse. and how many is too many. And why nobody is concerned about not enough but too much is more thought provoking.
