So...who amongst us makes a mean bacon sandwich?

I always add pepper and an incredibly small dash of tabasco to the oil before the bacon goes in the pan but yours sounds very much like a winner |

Large soft white baps (not those ones) lightly buttered, tomato sauce (it's the law) 4 slices of smoked bacon BBQ'd.

Good quality dry cured smoked bacon. Grill or fry until lightly crispy.
Fresh crusty roll, lightly toast the inside and then butter.
Add bacon.
Add thin slices small pieces of mature stilton cheese.
Enjoy.
No sauce for me, it takes away from the taste of the bacon. |

I first had it in a pub and it was amazing. If you have a really good smoked bacon then the mix of flavours as the stilton starts to melt is incredible |

Ladies and Gentlemen there is no such thing as unsmoked bacon. I'm prepared to allow that back bacon is a thing, though streaky is way better, but unsmoked bacon? What nonsense is that now? |

You're are, of course, all right, but you're also very wrong
What you need is a honeyed bacon chop, cooked on a griddle so it's all crispy and caramelised
Butter two slices of fresh cut thick crusty bread then cook them on the griddle butter side down
Slap a bit more butter on the inside, add the bacon, a smear of chilli jam, a sliced of smoked cheese
Melt the cheese slightly and put the lid on
