Some of the best known songs - and most loved - of all time were written by Hal David and his main writing partner, Burt Bacharach, including:
Magic Moments
Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head
This Guy's in Love with You
I'll Never Fall in Love Again
Do You Know the Way to San Jose
Walk On By
What the World Needs Now Is Love
I Say a Little Prayer
(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me
One Less Bell to Answer
Anyone Who Had a Heart

Seems like one hell of a week for losing some very big names....
Hal David and his UK contemporary, Don Black, practically wrote the late 50's-70's musically.
Thinking of some of his songs is like having an edition of Two-Way Family Favourites going on in my mind...
RIP Hal ...

'What do you get when you kiss a girl
You get enough germs to catch Pneumonia
After that she'll never phone you'
'Each morning I wake up
Before I put on my makeup'
Exquisitely formed around Bacarach's unique music.
David took lyric writing into the modern age and encouraged a whole generation of band/singer songwriters.
