Some might remember me posting an entire week ago I was going for a day out with a woman I knew not-on-fab but who'd come to feel like a good friend online. And we'd done sexy stuff online but had agreed that due to life and circumstances stuff it wasn't going to translate into meatlife if we met.
So we did the day out and got on really well due to it being no expectations of sexy times but just two people who could genuinely enthuse about shared interests. We talked about sex and kinks due to having connected via a kink website we're not allowed to mention here, but the day out was about the other stuff. And we got on like best mates and sex didn't get in the way.
Not saying every meet should be like that, but I just wanted to share that some can. And genuine friendly connection can be just as satisfying. |

That sounds lovely OP! It's nice to meet people in a no pressure way, even more so when you get on so well. On sites like the one you met your friend on and even on here it can sometimes feel like friendship without sex on the cards isn't worth the effort for people. I love talking and meeting the wide range of personalities on here, it's fascinating.  |

I think it's great that especially men and women can connect and feel friendship in the real world even if it's platonic. Plato had a few things right.
I know this runs counter to everything this site's meant to be about but don't care. |

I wish finding friends who share interests was equally accessible and acceptable. I still think that has a ways to go. "

Do you think so? I mean it seems to me to be much easier to agree on shared interests and enthusiasms than to decide to bump uglies. Maybe I'm just old fashioned and bumping uglies is the new way to get to know people. |
