It passes the time for me, and I like to see who's around. What threads to pop in on. The Lounge definately carries different vibes depending which sets of people are present. I find newbies are definately being shot down faster, they don't know that their thread has been done 82,695 times before already.
From me, the odd flippant comment may be noticed, but otherwise I'm not that visible these days. It's me that changed and my use of the lounge is minimal now. |

It a bit of light relief and it helps pass a few moments of downtime. Some of the other forums (politics and virus) are just too heavy and combative we are here to enjoy ourselves. |

I feel at ease here and that's enough for me. The mix of people and perspectives is always illuminating, often entertaining, sometimes challenging.

Having only recently found the forums I find the lounge a fun place to be. For me, I've found it to be a great place for some banter/laughs with things not taken too seriously. Started to chat with some lovely people that I never would have got to chat to without being in here. So it's all good from my point of view |

Same I love the variety and some times the bizarre questions. It passes the time when I'm ignoring jobs I should be doing. I love the debate and how people approach some of the topics makes me chuckle kinks x |

I’d personally like to see a return of some of the more thought provoking and interesting type threads but it’s dwindled with the exodus of those kinds of posters.
It’s all well and good fucking about, (of which I do my fair share admittedly), posting daft stuff but there needs to be a more level ground.
It does feel like every thread is about absolute drivel these days and as a result I don’t contribute much.
I’m still here though and it’s still my only form of social media so there must be something keeping my attention… naked chicks  |

Sometimes it’s fun, sometimes it’s interesting and sometimes I can ask questions that I find interesting, and I’m curious to get others opinions.
Also, it’s familiar, and that can be comforting. |

There are a few like that still but they tend to get lost in the drivel unfortunately.
You should start more threads, you’re a good thread starter and reasonably popular.

It’s mainly just passing time and having a chuckle at the unexpected these days… it’s that feeling of communicating on a day where I may not necessarily see anyone else. Being sociable without leaving the house.
I like to do threads about things I’m interested in learning about how others experience or approach life. But that’s not often these days.
There’s a lot of banal threads and it’s all a bit samey. But that’s because there are very few thread writers in relation to thread posters.. that’s a thread in itself… |

Mostly it keeps me entertained and there's a great mix of people here. It's nice to talk about all things, but also talk about things of a sexual nature that I can't always discuss openly with vanilla friends. |

I get a few minutes entertainment from the real world whilst I’m sitting by the pool drinking an over sized mug of coffee in the semi sunshine and wind.
Yes I get what I want from the lounge.
Alas I’m not the brightest spark so I don’t bring much but I add what I can when I can.

I enjoy the lounge forums as on the whole, for me, is an enjoyable way to socialise, although not sure what I bring to the table so to speak apart from unwarranted opinions and almost cringeworthy optimism |

In the real world (not fab world) at any social gathering I always end up in the kitchen (usually holding someone’s hair out of the sink, whilst they reject the alcohol they were so enthusiastic to consume a few hours before).
In the kitchen I have to be the “listening guy”. The “nice guy”, the one who will depart the party alone and have a tearful wank when he gets home.
But… in this virtual party that is fab, I get to hang in the lounge, I get to be rude and blustering, confident and arrogant, in the lounge I get to release my inner socialite.
I mean I will still have a tearful wank after I depart the lounge, but that is beside the point. |

What do you bring to the lounge- A friendly disposition...hopefully. I don't take stuff too seriously.
What would you rather a return to - or a move toward -I quite enjoyed the debates that were. I got to learn something new or see things from different angles.

I think it's habit more than anything, a bit like constantly opening the fridge when you're hungry but don't know what you fancy to eat.
As for what I bring, a sarcastic comment mostly or for the occasional times that I actually post. I miss the thoughtful threads and debates. I know I can start a thread if I don't like what I see but I can't think of anything thoughtful or interesting to write. |

Interaction with fellow humans beyond 'real life'. I enjoy all of the Lounge and the multitudinous it brings.

Yes, some form of social interaction. Occasionally I find something funny and crack half a smile.
What do you bring to the lounge ?
A dry wit and sensible opinions. Occasional filth and flirting. An under-medicated mind.
