little house on the praire

When you are going away. Do you prefer some secluded little area or do you want to be in the hussle and bussle of the nightlife.

I like it quiet and secluded

At my old age, noise is a distraction, so quiet for me.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It depends on where and with whom. Both have their place. I very rarely go away on holiday these days

It depends what we're going away for.

When our boys were at Uni at Cardiff and Swansea, we loved going and sampling the Welsh nightlife and hospitality for weekend breaks.

When we go away on holiday we like quiet places

Quiet but not TOO far from the night-life. Maybe a 10 - 15min taxi ride away?

I like it quiet but always hire a car (if I'm abroad) so I can go off in search of the noise should I want it!

Noisy, I get bored on quiet beach holidays, I need somewhere that has hustle and bustle but with an escape to a bit of peace and quiet if I want it

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

I like both.

Somewhere with lots of shops, bars, clubs and a real party feel at night.... but I also like quiet out of the way places where you can just look in awe at landscapes.

But, I don't like doing 2 weeks at just one place.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Depends what the "noise"is! Generally I would have to say that my hotel room should be quiet but I reckon a quiet country hideaway next to a preserved railway would suit me down to the ground!

I used to visit London for the day quite regularly and loved the hustle and bustle. I loved walking around the Leicester Square/Regent Street/Soho area and just to look at the archetecture of the shop fronts! I did pay visits to a couple of the strip clubs too but that`s not important! There was always that bitter sweet feeling as I left Waterloo station on the train - so glad to be going home but so sad to be leaving it behind!

Deviant City

quiet hol for me (although its been a couple of years since I last went away). I'm getting too old for clubbing and rowdy nightlife or places with hundreds of people hogging the beach or pool.
