How many......?

My mom used to have a tree mug where she kept the good mugs...the one's for show.
There have been times in a former life where I've done the same.
You never use those mugs...they are complete perfect set of 6.
After recently breaking a couple of mugs I'm now down to 3, only.
Got me to thinking, are you mug proud?
Are they perfectly matched?
Mine were a mash up
If more than 2 people pop in for a cuppa one will be getting a plastic beaker
Who amongst us has a mug tree where the 'good' mugs are kept? |

I don't own a mug tree
I've a mix of mugs, I think the only matches are my two creme egg mugs. I could comfortably serve twenty people a cuppa before resorting to plastic beakers.
I do have my mug, I use it daily. |

The one thing that drives me mad is when every cup/glass in the house gets used insteadof washingit out..imagine 20 of them! |

As I'm a freak this wouldn't do. I would have to buy a new set do they all matched. I have sets of neatly arranged matching espresso cups, coffee/tea cups and mugs. Guests can only drink out of the correct cup for their desired drink ...suffice to say they think Im bit mental |

That would never happen in my house. I use my mug anytime I have coffee. If I have friends over for coffee they get a refill in the same cup.
The only mug I bought is my mug. All the others were either donated by my aunt, gifts or in easter eggs. |

I do t have a mug tree as I don't like them on show and they always fall over.
Mind you I've got 12 matching mugs that all line up perfectly I one of my cupboards so I don't often run out even with how much tea I drink, it's close though |

Most of mine have designs on them relating to crochet. I do have one with Jane Austin quotes on that I love. They're all in a cupboard though as I don't like mug trees. |

I don’t have a mug tree x I used to have a few that went smashing x
But let’s just say my most used ones are the glass latte cups (like the ones from Costa) as I only drink my coffee from them, then a few glass/ceramic espresso cups, and a Japanese round tea cup I got from Tokyo (the traditional ones without handles) for my leafy green teas
I have a Starbucks ceramic mug somewhere but I never use it |

Don't have a mug tree. This isn't the 1980s! None of my mugs match on purpose though. They are all chosen for their uniqueness. Can't stand everything matching. It's too regimental for me |

I am a personal mug arse'ole... I buy them for people and have a fair few myself, my fwb has one with a picture of my bum on it lol... I like to have specific, non personal mugs for guests as I hate giving them personal ones but don't really have the room for any more. It gets me all arsey if someone uses my work mug, so now I keep it in my locker, along with a teaspoon but that's another story... I really want some mugs to match my kitchen, for guests tho! I may be ocd about more stuff than I first thought |

I have a few that are personal favourites designated for tea or coffee.. I don’t mix those.
My Nan always served tea in proper thick mugs for the men and more delicate China mugs for the women… always made me smile the clear definition between them… the traditional old ways! |

Sorry, my OCD has kicked in. If you had a full set of 6 and smashed a couple, you should have 4 left, not 3. Have you checked the dishwasher or under the beds? |

I have a mug tree, it has five Mumin mugs on it, the sixth one broke some time ago. I use them all the time; I'm not mug-proud but I certainly don't want to loose another one - I love the Mumins! |

Before I admit to my mug "thing", yes I have OCD. I've had treatment, I'm in recovery, but I'm aware that it's still very much in evidence here!
I don't have a mug tree. I have a set of 6 lovely porcelain mugs that I use occasionally but not often. I have another set of 4 that I bought just because they were pretty.
I've got mugs I was given as tchotchkes when projects completed in work or corporate anniversaries were reached, and a couple of novelty gift mugs that I give to people I don't like if I'm obliged to be hospitable (they're horrible to drink from).
In the most regular use are a lot of mismatched ones: a huge porcelain one I have my morning milky coffee in, and an equally large stoneware one I use for black tea in the afternoon while working. I have a glass mug I use for fruit tea, a large stoneware mug with a beautifully tactile outer that I use for spiced teas and a very tall mug I was given as a gift which only gets used when I brew a big pot of filter coffee of a weekend. |
