are you one of those that likes to post lots of selfies etc on social media??
even though I dont follow them my twitter feed seems full everyday of tweets other people like that show some people just keep on posting selfies
Good morning ... include selfie
Off shopping ... include selfie
Feeling sad .. include selfie
Time for wine ... include selfie etc etc
of course its up to them what they post on their own feed and im free to mute and block them etc etc but if you are one of those people why do you do it is it the buzz of hearing how good you look or having men or women like your pics etc etc or something else
and oooh controversial i know and i expect i will be slated for this haha but has social media created a generation of narcissists???
tin hat on im off to hide now haha

I post tonnes of selfies and I love it.
I look the best I’ve ever looked and I feel the best I’ve ever looked. I love celebrating myself and my achievements. I look fantastic and I love sharing my fitness journey.
I also love seeing my friends selfies, seeing them feel good and confident. I’d much rather see a happy selfie than the endless bloody moaning |

O despise having my face photo taken. I only take the odd photo or two so people know what I look like on places lile here.
Before I joined any sites i never took any selfies unless family forced me to pose with them.
As someone who really doesn't like my face I can't understand how some people take endless photos of themselves.
I would rather snap scenery and cute animals. |

If it makes the person posting feel good and they receive positive responses they I’m all for it, life should be about making ourselves and others happy, I will never understand the haters and negativity we all see and hear, we have no idea what that person is going through or has been through, I wonder how all these people spreading hate, racism and just general nasty comments would feel if it was somebody close to them on the receiving end. |

I don't post selfies. When I lost my dad I was sorry not to have more photos together, so I take some selfies with my mum when we're out doing pretty basic stuff like going for coffee.
Maybe if I was more at peace with my looks I'd post more. I certainly don't have an issue with anyone else posting them; I don't spend enough time on the socials for it to bother me. |

It's been ongoing forever this style - something I did over ten years...
It takes all my energy just to keep up with my Fab photo's. I think however it's more my age now and of course finding other more constructive things to do with my time.....
I find people who make cash from some media sites are updating their photos all the time....
Good luck to them .... |

I used to be in a dreadlocks group on fb where i posted a lot. This was about 10 years ago, when my hair was down to my knees. There were others on there whose hair was even longer. I guess the main reason was it was interesting seeing other people's tips on how they maintained it etc. (I am not on any social media anymore.)

I tend to chuck them on Facebook and tag my mum so my brother can see them. |

Never understood the selfie trend. I understand the idea of sharing or updating what you are doing/have done with mates. But the constant recoding of yours and wider public images, tied often to (ruthless) commenting on other peoples lives, emphasises what on social media ultimately is. |

You know now we are in the new normal it's probably also being used as a way of staying connected and sharing the moment - good , relaxed , happy, funny, depressed, hurting, worried...
Why not if it doesn't hurt anyone... I love seeing photos of my friends +family, it's quite rare they post.. But i imagine too its a generation thing... |

I've actually started doing this more, recently. It's because I want to see myself. What I really look like, not what I think I look like in my head (forever 23, no wrinkles or grey hairs) and to share that with my friends. I try to post the real as well as the highlights on my social media. Do I guess it's an exercise in grounding myself.

I don't really get the selfie trend myself...they're up there with the photos of what people have for their tea people love to post. You realise how boring some people are when you go on social media |

I don't do it, but I'm not that happy with my face. Maybe I'd take more and post them on my social media if I was more confident.
I don't have an issue with those who do love a selfie, but it's not really the type of accounts I enjoy to follow as I find endless selfie posting quite boring and repetitive. |

My thought is about selfies etc. Teenagers are posting to get likes. Now a lot are body shamed or do not get enough likes to be part of the popular group at school etc. Yes a lot on here say it has helped them improve image. My view is when comments start about young mental health . Selfies etc . Possibly are the start of that process. Can happen to adults also. Mainly female posters on forum have commented about mail etc they get about fab photo’s of themselves. ? |
