Whilst we’re in the period of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 have we any individuals on fab that have achieved any sporting success of they’re own?
I personally dedicated 19 years to my sport of boxing and
I’m a former multi national and European silver medalist, with over 115 amateur bouts and missed out on qualification to commonwealth games by a fraction? |

In 2012 I represented GB in a world championships event in France, I was 48 at the time too and it was quite an extreme niche sport so although very proud of it can't say what it was on here, would be easy to look up on good old Google. |

Nice one fella. Always loved the sport. Took it up far too late myself, couple of amateur fights though.
Before that, I spent my younger years in Ju Jitsu until I was involved in an RTA damaging my knee and shoulder. |

"Always nice to look back on such achievements, makes you time on this planet worthwhile. I think we always need a goal in life. "
Indeed especially if you’ve got kids that can look up to what you’ve accomplished |

Not quite the dizzy heights of Team GB, but I was discus town champion every year at high school and sixth form, including when I was 6 months pregnant. I was 3rd in my county at U16 level.
I compete for my local team at wheelchair basketball nowadays and hoping to take up track racing too |

I still train with a PT once a week but it's more shadow, heavy bag and pad work. Something about hitting those pads though that just makes me want 1 more fight haha.
I'm about 15kg heavier these days but enjoy weights more. |

Haha...yeah that's what I'm currently doing. Trying to remain around the high 80's, low 90's weight now. I'm enjoying it and liking the feeling of my t shirts becoming tighter in all the right places. |

Not so much as other posters. I placed table tennis for town / county under 21’s from age 15. I was ranked in top 10. Normally around number 5. At time there were 2 England juniors in team for under 21’s. So keeping position difficult. Then stopped for a while. Played again , now senior. In 1974/1975 season in a team.Division 5. Only played as one team member broke leg.
I lost one game in league that I played 99% average for season.
Played also in the closed league end of season tournament. Won my division title for that year over two days. My better achievement that weekend though was reaching the quarter final of men’s singles. The person that beat me was same age and was rival for junior ranking. He actually lost to one of the two junior players that were same year as us. The final was between the two junior's that were playing at same time as we were, but had England rankings. |
