Guns n Roses, Knockin On Heaven's Door.
Every time I hear Waxl go hey hey hey I want to punch his stupid fucking lights out. That song needs to stay on the soundtrack of Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid as the sad Dylan elegy it is, not get paraded as a has-been singer's vanity shot. |

It's not a great song who-ever is playing it. |

"It's not a great song who-ever is playing it. "
It's a good song and rock bands like it because it's got easy chords bad guitarists can solo over and bad singers can emote to.
But I maintain it worked best on the OST to the film, where it made sense. |

Don't visit West Bromwich on a Friday or Saturday night, then.
In fact, don't visit West Bromwich at all for that matter. People have been known to throw themselves off the M6 flyover after breaking down there... |

Yesss, just by slowing it down doesn't mean you are deep or original. You're killing it. "

"Leona Lewis, murdering Run, I loved the snow patrol version, then this came along, and everyone loved it "
Guilty pleasure here. I actually loved her live performance of it on the X Factor. I wasn't familiar with the original, which helps, but even though it was cheesy as fuck with the gospel choir and Whitneyesque vocal gymnastics, it still put a shiver down my back and I can do the odd repeat listen. |

One from my childhood: Joan Baez turning The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down into a happy-clappy singalong.
Nobody will ever top Levon Helm singing it on The Last Waltz with The Band. |

I got about 2 minutes through Fuel, just a poor effort. Taylor Momsen would have belted it out. |

I agree , like some GnR but kit that one , too whiny.
I recently heard Bird on the Wire by Leonard Cohen and thought how bad he’s totally destroyed the Jonny Cash song, only to discover it was the original |

Oh yeah Johnny Cash. I'd never heard the NIN original of Hurt when I heard his cover so thought OK, good song, then I sought out the original and realised what a travesty the cover was. Down to the horrible lyric change. |

Sing it!!
She just completely missed the vibe of the song how it's supposed to be a sad ending not her triumphant warbling.
And she ruined Hallelujah |

Nope. I love NIN but the Cash version of hurt. All the feels.
Even Reznor has praise for it, especially combined with the video.
