One of my biggest insecurities my teeth, was lactose intolerant until my teens, had my full run of teeth pulled out as a teen due to brittleness etc.
Since then had a real negative effect In terms of self confidence, work, relationships etc...
Since then I saved and saved,had a trip to Turkey for a full re - work up..
Best 5k I've ever spent. |

I actually like quite distinctive teeth, gap in the front tooth is cute but sexy, the ultra white mega straight teeth I think can look odd on some people unless your natural teeth are that way.
As long as there oral hygiene is good I don’t mind the odd tooth that not perfect x |

Yes. Though I hate mine!
My front teeth are chipping away all the time.
I had surgery in my late 20's to break my jaw, make it bigger to try to stop them grinding together, but I was a lost cause. The chaps in the Dental Hospital had never seen such an awful mismatched set of gnashers/jaws.

My front teeth are chipping away all the time.
I had surgery in my late 20's to break my jaw, make it bigger to try to stop them grinding together, but I was a lost cause. The chaps in the Dental Hospital had never seen such an awful mismatched set of gnashers/jaws.

Don't let it get to you, same situation I found My self in for years, as brilliant as the NHS is, dentistry is a different matter.
Needs addressing imo as my dentist as a kid left me with permanent fears.
Got through it now, may seem petty to some but it does have an over Riding effect |

I once had a veneer put on the front 2 to hide the chipped edge (the enamel is so thin, it's almost see through!) but they just came off due to the constant friction of my upper & lower teeth.
They're not that bad as teeth go - I mean they're healthy & I haven't had a filling for 30 yrs - but I am self conscious of them

I'm a bit conscious about my teeth. I have a chipped front one and a bit of crowding which I hope to sort out but it's a bit spenny. I blame my Mum and Dad for owning a corner shop filled with sweets |

I’ve been lucky with my teeth had two front ones broken but I paid to have them fixed. And had my wisdom teeth removed. No fillings.
But as long as people’s oral hygiene is good then nothing else matters in fact I like smoke with character x |

Teeth are massively important for me - they do not have to be 100% straight but poor oral hygiene is one of the biggest turn offs for me. Sadly it is often not known to the person that they have bad breath. Not an easy thing to address. |

They were going to do that to me too, but set the date for the middle of my GSCEs and refused to set a new date so I never got it done. Still wish I'd been able to get braces or something to at least make them a bit straighter but feel like I'm too old for that now. |

To me it is yes absolutely as is personal hygiene and might sound ridiculous to some but when I see pictures on profiles if the house looks a mess and I don’t just mean untidy then this also puts me off instantly from meeting, I’m not saying I’d end the conversation because I might enjoy chatting with the person but it’s just something that switches my mind off. |

They were going to do that to me too, but set the date for the middle of my GSCEs and refused to set a new date so I never got it done. Still wish I'd been able to get braces or something to at least make them a bit straighter but feel like I'm too old for that now. "
You missed a treat, Jelly. It was hell! And to think that I'm still having problems now, I'd have to say was it worth it?
You could probably still get braces, speak to your dentist if you're worried.
My sister had the same problem (none of my brothers did!) But she was able to get it corrected by braces. They didn't work for me, sadly. Xx |

I have excellent oral hygiene & my dentist tells me they don't look that bad at all. I'm just very conscious of them x |
