Has anyone else had this, I messaged a couple, ages ago, we chatted, all seemed ok, never met as they weren't free at the time, I returned to their area, sent a reply message to their previous message, got ranted at for not reading their profile, I apologised, they accepted my apology, so I sent another message to chat....they blocked me...Why ?. If not interested, just say no thanks, easy, I find this site very very frustrating sometimes, you can't seem to do right for wrong.

Don’t take it personally op. It’s just a tool. I block about 50 a day. It’s nothing personal.

Power. You shouldn't have gone back for a third attempt. You gave them the power to be dicks.

Worthing

Move on o/p don't forget to block them in return so they do not appear in a search (should they unblock).

I never know quite what such a post is designed to achieve tbh.

We have no idea why they blocked you as all we have is your side of the story.

There are many reasons to block someone - some legitimate, others more non sensical but in the end all you can do is move on to the next.

We got blocked without even saying anything to the couple. They sent us a friend request we accepted they then unfriended us and blocked us. To say it knocked our confidence a bit

North East Scotland, mostly

I use blocking so I don't waste my time, and neither do others. Zero point making polite chit chat if I know we're not a match. By blocking I no longer show up in their searches so they don't have to waste time either. It's not a personal slight, just a tool of the site making it more efficient for both parties.

Some randomer sent me a rather rude and insulting message the other day, then blocked me before I had the chance to reply

It's easier to block than have someone keep messaging you if they've let you down, messed you about etc.

Didn’t happen on fab but on tinder. Speaking to a lovely lady and getting in well. She liked me, I liked her. One day I said so, saying I thought she was very fit. Get the response “ffs” and then blocked! made no sense to me!

The best way to deal with being blocked is to see it as a positive.

They have saved you the effort of trying to build a rapport.

You may have thought you were compatible with them but they thought different and chances are you might not have got on in person.

They formed an opinion of you and felt they needed to block you, which is better than no reaction and being ignored.

And finally, and really hold on to this one...

They realised they have found the best fabber of all time, and if they met you, no one on fab could ever match your awesomeness. This means they'd want to spend all their time with you and swinging with anyone else wouldn't be the same

We are all disposable on here

I've got my head round that

A block usually generates nothing more than a shrug and a muttered 'Oh OK'

Any stronger reaction is just a waste of emotion

If someone’s not interested they don’t wanna see you in their search results

Blocking fixes that

You shouldn’t be discussing blocks on here either. If someone blocks you get over it

My block list is like 300 long.

Just got to get on with it

I’ve been blocked for paying people compliments & being nice. Firstly I thought it was me but then thought I’ve done nothing wrong so they’ve probably done me a favour

I was chatting with and arranged to meet someone on fabguys that suddenly ghosted and then blocked me.

Funnily enough he's shown up on here and contacted me and after a massage. I asked why and reminded him what he'd done and the response I got was "haha touchy".

I just replied I prefer guys that ave some balls not just show them and play his game somewhere else.

Then hit the block

I couldn't tell you who's blocked, probably 100's. I only use the block button for people who are rude or abusive.

Yep recently chatted to a girl on here we got along fine we were chatting most days.

We were going to meet up for a social.

Clicked.on her profile to say hello and found inwas blocked no reason given and we had no disputes.

This has happend so many times. Now I in turn block them in turn and put it out of my mind and consider I have had a fortunate escape from a potential nut job.

He really wanted to know if this has happend.to other people. It's a reasonable enough subject.

I agree with you however. I qojkd just block in turn and see it as a lucky escape

Blocking someone who you have never spoken to is fine chatting to them and being interested then blocking is just bad behaviour.

If I message and get blocked its no problem and I don't get offended.

We use the block button for people who aren't for us or who have messed us about.. but likewise we've been blocked by people we've been interested in who don't feel the same.

I guess as has been said before it's a tool to be used to narrow down the search and to avoid people continuously coming up in searches who we're never going to meet.

It knocked our confidence the first time but to be fair with this site being what it is not everyone is going to be for everyone so it's a great tool to use..

Xx
