Word of the Week Challenge, Monday 3rd Sept - the naughty words week.

If you want to play word of the week next week (starting Monday 3rd September).... it's naughty words and phrases week.
Other that a whole stack of words you may not find in the dictionary and a generous helping of euphemisms, the game is just the same.
You get your word or phrase in a private message…. filters permitting.
Use it Monday-Friday as much as you can.
Try to spot the words or phrases of other people who have asked to play.
Keep your guesses private until the results thread goes up at the end of the week.

In the interest of fairness, this week I have typed a list of words and phrases out first and each person will be allocated whatever is next on the list...... I promise not to be fickle, even though the rules are changeable. |

"By rights Lickety should have had one off the very bottom of the list.... for being such a slacker with the results thread."
I would not have been able to award prizes as I had to work for free today. I missed loads of Paralympics too! Anyhoo, now that I have seen my phrase it looks like barrel scrapings. |

Should there be people in a position of requesting a word but not getting a word sent by private message, it would break the forum rules for me to let such a person know why.
The new rules:
The wordkeeper for the next week will open a thread.
If you wish to be allocated a word, you will need to ‘reply privately’ to the wordkeeper (the OP of the thread) from the thread to request a word. This will prevent the wordkeeper from finding out they can’t send you a word because of how your filters are set… as wordkeepers are allowed to tell you why they can’t send you a word (or phrase) as it breaks the forum rules.
The wordkeeper allocates the words and keeps a record of who has been given a word (or phrase) and what the word (or phrase) is…. and may post a list of players in the thread.
Once you have a word (or phrase) you can try to use it as many times as possible Monday to Friday, not bother or imagine you have a completely different word (or phrase) and use that as many times as possible. You may also wish to guess what word (or phrase) other players are using…. but keep your guesses private between you and the wordkeeper until the results thread is posted.

No one if they don't break any rules and as far as I know mods have used discretion on this game thread rather than ban anyone for breaking a rule.
If anyone doesn't like the rules they need to take that up with Admin as mods just follow them.
If you have a problem with what any mod has said or done then you need to send your feedback to Admin rather than make snide remarks about bans on the forums.
Now as this is taking the fun away from the thread and what it is intended for then please, do as advised. |

I do apologise - no snide remark was meant or made. I merely meant that as it was naughty words and phrases it has the potential for people to get carried away. |

If we've been guessed - shouldn't we then be messaged to say stop using your words? That way it'll save our brains the pain of trying to shoe horn the phrases in to largely irrelevant threads!! |
