I don't have a county, I've moved about so much I've lost count. Tyneside and Kent are the places I've settled longest but also Ireland, Bristol, Cardiff. I love them all more or less equally but I'm rooted in none of them.

I read that as "Do you love your Country" and immediately went to the Baldrick quote

"Do you love your country?"

"Certainly do Sir"

"Do you love your King?"

"Certainly don't Sir"

"Whyever not?"

"My mother said never trust a man with a mustache"

"Ha ha, native Cockney wit..." Thump.

Grew up in Norn Iron badlands (South Armagh) during 80s and 90s and hated it, left school at 17 to join the circus.

Though years later I listed Armagh as my county representation for Judo so I could enter more competitions as no competitors from there in London.

I didn't realise Stockport was in Cheshire

I don't think I've ever thought about it really. I live in GM and bits are great, bits are shite. I like other counties too. I've been a nomad in my life, so don't feel especially attached to one place or another really.

Yes, very much so, my county is often name checked in songs, it’s been included in number ones, I think it was sang best when Maria warbled ‘Cover me, leave me breathless, show me Devon.’ I often wonder what part of Devon she was in when she wrote that, probably the South Hams area I expect, it’s stunning there.

In the market town I live in, in West Yorkshire, it’s right on the river and we have the forest overlooking the town.

30 mins drive to the City, 30 mins drive and you are in the Yorkshire Dales, 30 mins to Harrogate.

It’s a fantastic part of the country to live in.

Half an hours drive and we are in Northumberland, and my neighbour mows my front lawn…. I’m happy here xx

It's ok. As with any county it has some glorious places and some absolute holes. We have outstandingly beautiful spots and also areas of astonishing deprivation.

Yes, we have Formby and Crosby and the amazing city centre, but we also have Birkenhead, Liscard (home of the country's most depressing Christmas tree) and New Brighton (the eighth worst seaside town in Britain, according to Which).

I like it, but I'm not blind to its faults and suspect I would like anywhere I lived.

It’s ok. There just isn’t that much to see from an outdoors perspective. Plus every patch of land is being built on.
