Cooking is my passion and relaxation, love nothing better than preparing a meal for a lady, even doing the shopping. Before I moved I lived within a few minutes drive of all the major supermarkets as well as an indoor market, would happily spend all day visiting them all for ingredients and inspiration.
Lots of different dishes but chicken breast wrapped in Parma ham and stuffed with garlic, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, sun dried tomatoes and freshly grated lemon zest is one of my favourites, more than happy to turn up and cook for any lady Forumite (temp profile pic as an illustration!) |

Speciality: pork fillet roasted on a bed of courgettes, shallots, mushrooms, parsnips, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, and mixed nuts to give it a bit of crunch! All drizzled with a bit of olive oil and sometimes a bit of honey too. Absolutely delicious |

Sunday roast. And obviously the ultimate version 'The Christmas Dinner'.
All the trimmings with a nice drink during and tasters for the chef while we progress.
Might be the nostalgia but it just screams 'home' to me. |

One of the few subjects that I take very seriously because, the ability to prepare a restaurant quality dinner for a lady, in opulent surroundings, with quality wines can be a licence to take knickers off. My oriental dinner parties were always a talking point though because, guests could take as much or as little as they were comfortable with, ever bearing in mind that not everyone bonks so well on a full stomach. |

Beef sirloin on the BBQ, rare, served in inch slabs with homemade bernaise with fresh tarragon and frites.
…or homemade pasta pesto
…or a simple pizza in the pizza oven. |

My macaroni cheese is always a hit. Use 3 different types of cheese in the sauce, add seasoning and mustard powder to bring out the flavour.
Add cooked panettone, mushrooms and broccoli. More cheese over the top of a garlic and herb breadcrumbs |

I think I prefer the process of baking to cooking, but I prefer to eat the products of cooking rather than those of baking.
If I really had to choose a favourite it would be bread. Freshly baked bread with lashings of butter is sublime...and is also the reason why I will never be skinny |
