I use this site to look for what I cannot find in everyday life so it might come across as being "picky" but there is a reason for it.
If the streets were lined with pale, skinny tattooed redheads I wouldn't be on here ;-p |

Honestly OP? People aren't picky. Women aren't picky or fussy or whatever other term they'd like to use to describe themselves - one woman's picky is another's free for all.
What I will say is it comes down to choice. Make your profile the best it can be, join in on the forums and then maybe one of the women will "pick" you (although I loathe that sentence because it sounds like you're a loaf of bread competing with other loaves). |

Empty profiles shout laziness too me and from someone I’m looking to hookup with laziness is not a positive trait. Might be a drag but you’re going to need to put some work in if you want replies.
Detailed profiles help, introduce yourself, what you’re into and what you’re looking for.
Put some public pictures up to see if someone finds you attractive (you can still have a high level of anonymity with public pics)
Put some effort in get along to a few clubs seriously you’ll have a blast, actually meet some people, Flynn used to go to clubs as a single guy before we got together and he’s got some life long friends from it.
No, not everyone is going to sleep with you.
Yes, there has to be a high amount of effort on your part, as said by someone above you’ve got to make yourself stand out from a very big crowd!
The classy respectful guys on here who are putting the effort in are reaping the rewards

I like to call it selective rather than picky! If we’re inviting a woman into our relationship then she has to be right for us both. Equally we would much prefer a lady to be selective and say no thanks to us, than hop into bed just for the sake of it. The same applies when messaging ladies for ff, I’m very selective! Having free time to meet is limited, so there has to be chemistry etc. We think it’s great for people to know what they want and not shy away from that, no matter what gender you are! Imagine the forces that be accidentally pull a Homer Simpson and presses that big red button. The world flips over.
You wake up at 2am with your phone buzzing on the nightstand like a dysfunctional vibrator. Curious, you check it to see over two hundred new messages on Fab. Your curiosity peaks and you hurriedly log in to an influx of vag pics in your inbox. Vag everywhere! Along with a plethora of "hi, wanna fuck, wuu2?, My pussy will destroy you." You take a few deep breaths, thumb hovering over the Message icon. As you stare at the screen, more messages come in.
Question: Wouldn't you be choosy over who you reply to?
The next day, you decide to visit a club. Yay! But, you realise too late, single women are allowed that night. Oh dear. As soon as you walk into the dimly lit club, you see heads turning in your direction. Hair flicking, lip licking, the works. You recoil slightly. But it'll be okay. You're there to meet people and maybe have a cheeky shag or two. So you decide to do the rounds. As you're exploring, you suddenly get an uneasy sensation. It grows with each step. You're being followed. Turning around, you spot a horde of women lurking in the shadows, watching you. Hands down their Ann Summers undies. Just staring, but not saying a word. Every step you take, another woman joins in the horde and soon you've got an entourage following you around the club. Just waiting for a signal from you so they don't have to finger bash themselves anymore. Maybe they missed a signal? No problem. They'll just rapidly knock on the door to the private room you're currently sharing with a couple just to make doubly sure you don't want them to join in the festivities.
Question: Wouldn't you be choosy with who you give that signal to?
This isn't about what's fair or unfair. The world is what it is. But if you want to know why women are choosy, I'd wager that my (admittedly) exaggerated examples above would answer the question.
