"I couldn't pick one specific thing as a trained chef, I love to experiment with food and flavours. I do miss the company aspect, it's nice have someone to chat to over dinner"
I used to run a food blog so love experimenting |

"I love cooking but unfortunately haven’t had my friends round as often as I like (thanks covid!) and no point cooking for just myself " I thought that way, but then my diet was starting to go crap. |

I eat well but don’t cook extravagant meals, mostly grilled chicken salad |

"I would love to be a qualified chef and know how to bake also my mum was a trained cook as they were called back then and my dad a master baker by trade"
I think always have existed both chef and cook.
My grandma was a head chef in France back in the days and also a baker |

I love making Shakshuka - middle Eastern eggs in a tomato and red/yellow peppers sauce. It's usually a brunch type meal, but you can basically eat it at any point in the day. Serve with warm pittas. Lovely.

I’m no trained chef… I’m a trained something but not a chef. But I love cooking it calms my soul at times.
I love most Mediterranean foods but love cooking chicken Cacciatore. It’s so tasty, filling and homely. It’s even better with great company and good wine x |

I love cooking and don’t have a favourite really, it’s largely mood dependant, but, I cooked Singapore Chilli Crab for my sons birthday earlier this year, it’s simple and tasty and cooking it with him was brilliant.
Eating it is messy and fun, so that’s a good memory. |

"I have batch cooking days, when I cook about 2 or 3 different dishes, then freeze portions. I spend the day before doing all the shopping, then the next day involves a couple of bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon, some cool tunes and something exciting to eat later
I have experimented over the years, but the last Moussaka I did was bloomin' marvellous "
I used to do this |

If I could go back I'd probably train as a chef. I love cooking and experimenting with foods. Summer is when I try different things on the bbq. I've got a nice shoulder of lamb waiting to be marinated in spice and then slow cooked for6 hours. Might do that Thursday when weather picks up. |

More into baking than cooking, my Lemon and Lavender loaf cakes are flying out of the door faster than I can make them.
Living alone and therefore cooking for one I find it difficult to be creative. |

Oh nice. I'm making a chorizo pasta sauce this evening to eat with red lentil pasta. Trying to reduce gluten at the moment. |

"So, I love to cook. Nothing better than good company, good food and good wine!
What’s one recipe you’ve tried and loved? "
My wife was for a year or so until the menopause hit the top ranked chef in our department but alas due to a change in career for her I now do all the cooking and I’m shit so I mainly cook pork as it’s dirt cheap here and pasta dishes.
For lunch today in ten minutes it’s kebab meat with two potatoes chopped up smal fried in lashings of olive oil with the left overs from last nights peppers onions tomatoes salad thrown in.
Said I was shit!!!!!
