Loved The Clash, Siouxsie, Str*nglers, was always ambivalent about the Pistols and Ramones.
But that's all past now and only meant anything in its day. It's not old people music and needs to be kept in the past, preserved in aspic for what it was, listened to in its ballsy fuck you essence.
There's nothing sadder than the cabaret nostalgia circuit, old people reliving their youth forever. It's the antithesis of everything punk was. |
