Reading the story about Phillip Morris (who own marlboro cigarettes amongst others) suggesting UK govt ban all cigarette sales from 2030 (as they have done eg with diesel cars)... Is very interesting. Apparently they want to become a health products brand? Have they shot themselves in the foot.? |

Oh I can only wish! It will be nice to walk out of a pub/station/shopping centre etc and not have to walk through clouds of stinking smoke for once ! Mind you wheres the tax revenue going to come from? |

I don't think it will make much difference initially - cigarette smokers are addicts so will find other ways to get the fix. Duty-free, counterfeit, online sales etc. Maybe somewhere down the line it will help but many see it as their right to smoke and people don't like giving up their rights. |
