Scum
I know someone that's already though of this. They've thought of every scene.
They even want the actors to start dancing with each other at the end when the riot kicks off.. |

"It's not a film but at the end of Forgetting Sarah Marshall (and the middle)... the Dracula Lament's song. The whole thing should be a full blown musical a la Avenue Q.

None.
As soon as a film breaks out in to a song and dance routine, I completely lose immersion in the film.
I just cannot get my head around musicals. I cannot connect to them in any rational sense.
For example, suppose you are shopping in your local supermarket. Does the music begin suddenly and all the checkout operators do a song and dance routine ? No. Of course not. It's not realistic.
So asking me to watch a musical where they do the same thing is immersion-destroying for me.
When I have suffered the occasional musical, I'll go make a cuppa whilst they sing their little hearts out, then come back and thankfully find the story has picked up where it left off. That suits me fine.
I'm a bit funny with musicals, as you can tell. They make no sense to me. None whatsoever. |
