Not sure about a girl’s name but the name I was going to be called was used by a neighbour who had a boy 3 days before me so my name was picked from the end credits of a tv show that was playing in the ward my mother was brought back to after having me!!! |

"I’ve no idea actually.. I’ll ask tomorrow. I love my name so think mine did pretty well with us all. "
I don't think I'll ever know. My dad has dementia and I avoid speaking to my mother, unless I'm bound to do so by law. |

Caroline apparently. No offence to any Carolines out there but not my cup of tea & glad to choose my own identity for my femme side.
My mum was convinced I was going to be a girl before I was born; she was half right! |

I'll stick with the name they chose, even though no-one can spell it |

Due to a cock up by the midwife, I had a girl's name for about the first half hour of my life - or so I'm told.
Apparently, my patents both thought she'd made a mistake, but were thinking 'well, she's the expert, she should know' |

I would have been Ziggy had I been a boy. I always hated my name growing up as it’s not spelt how you would expect it to be. I love it now though but it’s also becoming more popular to spell it the way my dad did. I love that my dad chose my name & I know why he chose it. And it’s not Jennie.

My mum wanted to name me after her brother who passed away as a baby.
If I was born male I would have had his actual name, I was given the female version of the name.

Mum wanted Melanie, dad wanted another that was a racehorses name ended up named after her midwife.
If I was a boy again would have been an argument, dad would have wanted John(jr) and mum Michael |

My parents wanted to include names of the men who in our family had died serving the country.
So when my full name is read out people start looking at their watches |

Yes and funny enough it’s my husbands name
They did also change my name the day after I was born due to my uncle giving me a nickname on the back of it when he came to visit, I’m so glad he did as I much prefer their second choice |
