Just watched this on Prime. Have to say after a slightly slow start it became a bit of a thriller. Elements of War of the Worlds, Independence Day, World War Z, with SFX and plotholes to match any of them. Good Sunday afternoon entertainment if you keep the incredulity on hold, and your lunch down (plenty of splatter and gore).

Might give it a second watch. It didn't end where I thought it would end, so was pleasantly surprised.

I started watching it, felt it was as you say op bit slow so I turned over, then weeks later started from the beginning and it was a decent movie

As with all these movies take science, war fare tactics etc with a pinch of salt. I was a bit surprised at the amount of gore / death for a 12 rating, but it was a lazy afternoon watch
