Kind of been force fed it over the years by Sam, to the point where I actually like it now ! I'm usually the oldest at their gigs by a mile but get away with it because I've got a big, fuck off SLR in my hands. My wife has a splendid collection of vintage TEOAT t-shirts
I still prefer the instrumental mixes of the albums that I always get him to give me though !
Oldest swinger in town (literally), that'll be me |

Can't stop playing the Fucked Up album David Comes to Life. It a punk rock opera with some great tunes, I would recommend anyone to check out Queen of Heart on YouTube.
I have also dug out some of my old 80's Grebbo albums recently (Wonderstuff, Pwei and Loop) all great stuff |

Greetings from the greeb capital of the world!
Have you got any Ned's?? Haha
I still see the ginger guy from Ned's around town often!
Used to see Miles Hunt and John Penney alot too. I was a little too young to see them in the little places they used to play. My older brothers used to go to the gigs.
Good times |

"Two of my girls like this music ... i hate it! It gets me extremely stressed out.
When they go to gigs they always come back with various injuries "
You should try photographing the bloody gigs...takes me a week to get the beer, sweat and blood off my cameras and lenses |

I could I forget Neds Atomic Dustbin LOL. I've saw Miles Hunt do a solo show recently and had a beer with him afterwards. The gig was full of middle aged men trying to relive their youth; bit like myself.

At TEOAT's farewell gig, I shot most of the gig sitting on a cushion in front of the bass drum to stop it sliding off stage Still ended up with a dead leg and a lump on my head though !
I'm too old for this shit...as Danny Glover once said ! |

My old man was a session muso throught the late 60's and 70's so I was brought up with a pretty varied mix, mainly classic rock, blues and jazz.
Mostly I listen to a lot of 80's rock (Van Halen is a particular fave). I also play in several bands, again, mostly rock & blues based. My eldest like a lot of the newer, really heavy bands. I like the musicianship but usually the vocals turn me off.
A 'friend' and I were chatting the other evening and recon it would be fun to form a band entirely of swingers. |

Listen to it long enough and you get used to the vocals ! Bands like Meshuggah are so technically brilliant, I can ignore the vocals anyway
War From a Harlot's Mouth are another one, vocals kill me but the rest of the band are incredible...watched their drummer from behind the stage at a festival in Germany and he was just astonishing ! |

Seen WFAHM a few times an met them. The Black Dahlia Murder are one of my favs. Hands down the most Melodic death metal band going. Sylosis are another great band and there's a band I've played with about 6 times called Bleed From Within from Glasgow. Great band and great lads |

Yeah, the drummers and guitar players are usually excellent. I also agree with ignoring the vocals too although sometimes an interesting melody seems to appear from nowhere! |

Like all musical genres, there are good and bad...the good ones are the ones that grab you with the melodies I don't think there's ever been any truly popular discordant music...melody will always win out in the end, much as some bands would hate to admit it
