I was going to write a silly answer but seeing as you asked for a serious one here’s a quote from the Bank of England taken from a guardian article in 2013
“We are aware that polymer banknotes begin to shrink and melt at temperatures above 120C, so they can be damaged by an iron,” |

"I always put a tea towel over things I don’t want to burn.
I’ve never ironed money but I have burnt through it. And that was a very bad attempt at humour "
But I love you for it xx |

Don't have the iron too hot.
Put it in a folded tea towel and light press .....
Or put it in a tea towel and press it under a pile of books or similar and leave to air dry.
It is hot out there. Better still . Air dry in a window. |

"You’d be flat broke x
Why"
See Yas...... ready ? The iron makes things flat.....
You might ruin the money and then be skint.
Broke is a word for skint.....
The note would be FLAT after ironing....
SO..... Flat broke....see Yas..... ??? Yas ???? |
