I may have had a similar experience in my younger days

I took a train upto Brum from London for a rendezvous with a blonde but she changed her mind just when the train was about to arrive.

She was polite to come out for coffee but I went back on train to London.

She did text a week later asking for another chance. Yeah right. Never again. But it still hurts my pride that this happened lol
