Now I'm not complaining, but does anyone else think that the bikini bottoms look far too small for them?
And why do the regulations stipulate you must wear them. Surely in this day and age shorts should be acceptable or a skort? |

"I feel like only the players can answer the question if they are too small.
Are they comfortable? Do they feel exposed?"
Ask the norweigan team who got fined 1500 euros because they wanted to wear the shorts they wear in training at a European competition.

A Paralympian who revealed an official called her athletics briefs "inappropriate", says she has received several similar accounts from other female athletes.
Olivia Breen, who mainly competes in the T38 sprint and F38 long jump events, was chided by a female official while participating at the English Championships in Bedford.
She said she was "disgusted" after the official said her briefs were "too short and inappropriate".

The same shorts that able bodied athletes wear? The same style of shorts she's worn for 9 years in competition?
The point of the norweigan story is that it should not be for some arbitrary committee to decide the skimpiness of thd outfit if is had no bearing on performance or safety (which the ruling committee claimed of did). If they or Olivia feel better competing in bikini style shorts they can, if others prefer longer shorts they should be allowed to wear them.
The volleyball decision is about titilation in my opinion, otherwise thd men would be made to wear speedo style shorts for safety reasons. |
