I think it's a ploy to make them feel better about themselves, we met a lady in a club who was a 20-22 waist and called herself Curvy

"I think it's a ploy to make them feel better about themselves, we met a lady in a club who was a 20-22 waist and called herself Curvy "

But that's her choice how she wishes to describe herself... if a person has clear body pics on their profile that you can make an informed decision if you'd like to take things further

Agree'd sassy but she had one image...of her boobs and no mention that she couldn't stand for long or had severe back cramps, if she see's herself as curvy then great but many slimmer ladies have big boobs so it was all a little misleading.

what im saying is...i see people who have got a bit of belly women and men and no body muscle yet call themselves athletic, that to me and many other people would be average, and many slim women with no muscle saying their body is athletic, when in both cases, neither are atnletic

Central

I think we need several more categories, such as lump, meathead that would further break down the current ones, to a finer level. An old school friend is a lump type, he's not particularly overweight, he's not unfit, but his body kind of could have come from a liposuction and been injected into some skin, sort of lump on legs.

Athletic to me, and this is a dreamy inaccurate picture, represents someone who's lean, has muscle tone that shows and is physically fit. Athletic to many others is someone who has a pulse and can move somehow, even if on a motorised scooter.

Im slim because thin wasn't an option, maybe people are confusing energetic and sporty with being athletic? I'm expecting 6 packs and ripped arms but then Wayne Rooney is an athlete and isn't muscular so maybe it's our misconception of the word?

sadly there aren't several boxes available to tick, i've seen plenty of larger framed women with stunning curves though. Hour glass figures certainly are curvy, boobs & bum, smaller waist.

I think the key is just to have up to date body shots so people can make their own minds up. There is no clear cut description of what each 'size' means.

I picked fabulous purely based on the fact it was the last option available and from times when i was on a SSBBW dating site the options were 'fabulous, goddess, queen sized' its all subjective

Possibly a misconception but then it does leave it open to the profile readers version of what athletic means to them.

Not at all Evesham if it doesn't effect your play time but we weren't made aware we'd have to help her in and out of the car aswell as fetch her drinks whilst she nearly passed out... That's misleading. For her own health it would of been helpful to know, back to the OP do you feel your going to be treated differently if you have average instead of athletic on your profile?

I do loads of cycling and am a very fit 40 year old .. have an extremely muscular back but wud definately not describe myself as athletic as my take on it is that this description is meant as a visual description rather than a medical assesment .. but i understand people have differing views

I'm wearing a corset in most of my photos since most were taken at fetish events. I *really* need some new photos.

I describe myself accurately on my profile - size 20, slim legs, huge boobs - but those who just look at the pictures are often mislead. I'm an odd shape though. An inverted triangle. Size 26 bust, size 18/20 waist and size 16/18 hips.

I've been advised by some to remove all mention of size from my profile as it will put some people off. That seems dishonest to me. I don't want people meeting me because they think I'm something I'm not.

Yes, I'm fat. Even if I want to I can't change that overnight, or even in the next couple of months. Take me as I am or don't *shrug*

I describe myself as curvy on my profile.

But I also, happily I might add, have described myself as a fat munter on the forums. And it's true. To some people. To others I am their dream woman and intensely desirable.

I am completely happy with who I am and if I'm not to someones taste then that's fine. But I won't be slagging off those who are slimmer or bigger than me, cos that's when we go from debate into troll.

Many of the larger women on here have been told that they are disgusting for a very long time. Then they enter a world where people do not hide what they are attracted to and those women go from disgusting to desired. It's very easy for this to go to the head.

Bear in mind that their only way to describe themselves was by the offensive terms they heard previously. So how do they describe themselves now? By the complementary terms they hear now.

This is why so many are listed as curvy, in their heads they are still obese or dumper truck or elephant but they are gradually learning to accept beautiful and voluptuous and curvaceous.

Yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but so is ugliness. The only time it's rantworthy is when they won't take no for an answer!

And this fat munter gets enough yeses from fit, toned, muscular young guy candy to not stress the nos.

I don't know why these words seem to cause such a problem for people.

I am curvy. That means, quite literally I have curves. I have largfe rounded breasts, I have a smaller defined waist and I have wider hips than my waist. I am not a stick insect, but I have a shape.

Now people can call me what they like. I will not ever write my measurements down or my dress size on my profile because I refuse to be treated like an online purchase, people scrutinising every body part in order to decide to try. I am not prepared to put up with that.
