I got my car insurance renewal this morning for my old Golf GTi and was quoted nearly £400 comprehensive, 6000 miles per annum, car value £1000, etc, etc.
Anyway thought I'd try Saga now that I'm officially and old fucker and was quoted £136 for same cover.

It's not like I'm driving a 911 around either, it's a 1.1L 206 that takes about an hour to get to 60  I wish they would sort it out, some of my girl friends the same age have premiums of £300! |

I thought that women and men now paid similar premiums? Mine is very good but went up last year following the ruling that we should pay same as the blokes...
Not fair I thought, I am a much better driver than most blokes I know...;-) |

Saga are good, not always cheap for things, but jay does after dinner speeches for them. Aparently if your partner is over 50 you can go with them on a holiday at 40, would be like a scene out of cocoon |
