I had a problem with a pop up a couple of years ago. they can be got rid of..,

press ctrl alt and del keys to get task manager up.

Select the screen which shows you all of the programs running on the pc (not the opening screen but the one which shows who is running what, how much processing power and memory each program is using etc).

When the pop up appears it will show in the registry either as a new program or as a change to the memory useage or to the processing capacity it uses. You can highlight the 'process' and then click to close the pop up to see if it dissapears or changes to make sure......

Make a save point to restore the system in case of an error then search for the program file which runs the pop up using find. take a record of the files location and then delete the little fucker.....

If u get it wrong the file will be in ur recycle bin to put it back and you know where to put it back but that system has worked for me a couple of times....
