Reading through another thread, someone mentioned about inboxes being filled with one line messages to the point that the recipient is overwhelmed by them and simply cannot see any messages that garner their interest. I wonder if it is possible to add a filter to remove one liners into to sort of spam folder. Would this be a good idea?

People will just find a way round it. The could write their one line and then copy and paste a bunch of random text. It might help a bit but I'm skeptical.

You may well be right and I do not know enough about these algorithms that would sort the spam from the more meaningful messages. But I just think it’s a sad state of affairs that the system is just clogged by useless messages.

That's the biggest excuse I've ever seen lol

Excuse? I don’t know about that. What I do know is that in order for a man to speak to a woman he must message her. If he has something to say that is a little more in depth than “Hi, wanna fuk “ he needs some methodology to get his message through. Some people may enjoy the “Hi” message style but from what I can see and read, it’s generally a bit of a pain.

I would love there to be a way to filter and sort messages, by distance ideally. I'm not sure blocking one line messages would work as some replies can be short so you'd get bits and pieces of conversations suddenly sent to a spam folder?

One line messages such as "hey how are you" are pretty annoying though!

Any ideas place them in the feedback section of the forum for admin to consider

It's the one word messages that bug me.

Phone?

Facepic?

K*k?

All from well verified profiles with pics going back 7 or 8 years so maybe just jaded?

It depends on the one sentence.

If it is something like...We appear to seek the same, I seek someone regular....I read their profile and it is indeed reflected in their profile, happy days

I'm fed up of the 1 liner 1st ever msgs tbh...

Hey

Hi

How you doing

What you up to

Why are you up

What are you doing

Where are you

Where ya live

Wanna meet now

You horny

Wanna fuck now

Hey, I'm passing your way in an hour

Hi, the wife's asleep, get on cam now I want to cum

I'm available now

These are a few I can think of off the top of my head...There's many more 1 liners...

But yea the majority of 1st msgs I get are like the above & worse...& All jam up my mail box so I'm missing out & many other msgs, probably some Gems in there too that I never get to see their mail

That’s the thing that makes me sad. I know I am not the most perfect specimen of a man but I can hold a reasonable conversation and sometimes even make somebody laugh. But so many messages go completely unread, then the real sting in the tail is the “YOU HAVE MESSAGED THIS PERSON BEFORE and they did not reply” how would one even know that another had a chance of seeing any previous messages?

This is my observation so not having a go at anyone honest. My view.

One liners are sometimes necessary, be it to or from someone. This is also a requirement in some profiles as they do not want endless chat. Possibly study a persons profile first to actually see what they are requiring before sending.

No offence to the lady that mentioned area filtering as would not apply to club meets surely.

To be noticed is a possible one liner to see if someone is interested. We are all different thats what is so intriguing.

So maybe it would be better joining a dating site that specialises in identifying these things.
