This happens.
I've seen single guys complain of this a lot before.
It just means that he's decided that you're not for him.
The FAQ's maje it clear that a non-reply should be taken as a 'no, thank you'
Blocking is just another tool.
By using it, you actually save people the trouble of seeing profiles that don't match coming up in any future searches.

Firstly op.
No one here can say who is ugly.
Secondly. It is the right of someone to block. I know it sometimes can hurt and upset but the best thing to do is block them back, forget move on.
