I have been asked for ID for a lottery ticket before, I was 27 at the time. Both a blessing and a curse looking young!

Never been asked for ID but in the 70s nobody carried anything that identified them anyway.

I've never been ID'd so much since I hit 30 a few* 9ish years ago. I suppose I should take it as a compliment, buts it's bloody annoying.

I’ve got to the cheeky stage of offering to be IDd and taking offence when they say No, it’s okay. Bastards.

I hardly ever got ID'd before I was 18 but then it started. Still happens now at 41 and I love it.

There's pressure on hard working staff, so having ID confirmation allows them to rest easier. I get it a lot as I'm a student and my friends are closer to the legal minimum for booze etc. Take it as a positive

Market Harborough / Kettering

I bought a bottle of wine from Asda last week at the self service checkout. Obviously it wouldnt let me complete the transaction until approval by a member of staff. This indian lady came over, looked at me, looked at the wine, looked at me again for about 10 seconds and then finally approved the transaction. Im 52 FFS !!
