Do you like your fabs?

I know it’s generally considered poor form on here, but I’m not particularly creative, but I enjoy creating nice pictures and I put thought into them, so I do like being fabbed and I’m not ashamed to admit it.

Do you like it, hate it, are ambivalent….?

Ambivalent. It is interesting so which photos get the fabs (or kore than other). But whether they are fabbed or not is no bug deal…. Unless it accompanies a wink or nice email. Then it has a bit more meaning I guess.

We like the thought the others like our pics... especially when we get nice comments about pics with both of us in rather than just those of myself

We try to create tasteful pics to share publicly (we also have some pure filth in friends only

) with the hope people look and think "wow those guys look like they have fun"

That reminds me we must take some new pics to share with you all in the coming days

I'm ambivalent. I do put some effort into photos but I'm aware they aren't particularly attractive (they're as much warning as enticement) so while of course I like the idea that someone likes them, I don't take it that the fabber finds them attractive any more than I believe the messages that tell me I'm the hottest woman on fab.

I tend to see my photos as a necessary evil and the fabs as a bit of arse-licking.

Of course if I got no fabs I'd probably be horrified. Better insincere fabs than no fabs at all!

I like that somebody's looked and made the infinitesimal effort of a button click. Nicer still if they turn into messages. Nicer again if they don't appear to be a completely repellent excuse for a human.

I don't post to get fabbed. I post when I'm in the mood to take a pic and it's done just for me and the odd time for a photo challenge.

If people want to fab them I have no problem with that at all although the number of fabs on all my pics combined is probably less than some get for one pic.

I dont check them much but when I do it's nice to see but mostly i like seeing which kind/style/type of my pics are liked more than others. I'm of surprised myself which are liked more than others. I'm also fab happy tho and like fabbing other people's pics too

I enjoy that my photo's may be appreciated, so yeah, do like a fab. Although 'tis a kick in the nethers when you join a fabathon and get squat!

Also interests me to see which photo's get fabbed over others. Have had more on photo's that I thought were 'alright' over others that I preferred!

I use to quite enjoy getting fabbed but a couple of months ago I took the option off as people seem to have a real bee in their bonnet about people pics being on the hot pics and it became too much drama and little digs and comments being made about it in the forum's so I decided feck it and removed the option from mine.

But I fab others pics and some people have amazing pictures and deserve the fabs they get .

I like it because it's nice for something I've put time and effort into to be acknowledged. But also, it's a nice hit of endorphins that keeps my anxiety/insecurities at bay.

I'll never post something when I'm feeling shit and never to explicitly get fabs but if something's fab'd day to day then it is a good feeling.

It's only human to enjoy the admiration of others in any capacity, no?

I am not very creative so I don’t have any pics to fab. I think some of the male forumers have some great pics and are super arty and creative with it so good on them. Same goes for the females.

If someone likes fabs let them enjoy it. If a fan is the difference between a frown and a smile or day in bed vs a day crushing your goals why would you want to deny someone that, or dig at them for seeking that. Whether you’re intrinsically or extrinsically motivated/driven is irrelevant. Just be kind because no one knows the battles we all fight to open the camera, let alone press upload and expose ourselves like that.

Well I wouldn't say I'm ambivalent because I don't love and hate having my photos fabbed.

It's nice when it happens but I don't chase them. I'd much rather someone commented on my waffling or gave me compliments on the beautiful prose of my profile. We all enjoy different things to different degrees don't we. If you're an exhibitionist/or use it to boost your mood/self confidence crack on. It's not really hurting anyone, own that shit.

. Doesn’t mean we don’t look and enjoy them though. Ours are pretty tame by comparison with some others so probably don’t have many. Not really something we’re aiming for, but fair play to anyone that likes the attention.

I love creating with my pictures. For be it’s abouts showing fragments or aspects of who I am or things I like perhaps. Glimpses of personality. My photography is the only creative part of me

as for fans they rarely reflect my favourite ones, but I do pics for me not others. I do however appreciate when I get a nice message complimenting a photo, I get more questions about my photographer than most things

I take that as the biggest compliment!

I certainly wouldn’t say I’m part of any clique but I agree with these posts.

I’m not sure what the issue is here.

I’ve seen so many threads started with a positive intent be it for the collective or an individuals benefit but I’ve seen so many threads also hijacked by some sort of unnecessary negativity.

Personally I enjoy posting pics and seeing the fabs. I take them as a compliment and yes I do enjoy the attention. Is that a bad thing

Yep that's one reason people don't like it. Another because people get a bit bored of reading the courting of fabs in threads where it's poorly disguised and it's clear that they just want to be fabbed and don't care about the posts. Sometimes they just don't like the person and it's an easy thing to pick on - none of us like everyone on here. It might even be they don't like that particular type of attention seeking because whatever reason. Or maybe they are just jealous (because that's the easy answer

Of course I like the fabs! I love to take photos and create something different and it's nice to know that others appreciate them in whatever capacity that may be!

But mostly I post photos that I like, that I'm actually quite proud of! I never ever liked to be photographed until my 40's so I'm enjoying it while I can get away with it!
