Loads when I was in the Forces. I remember later in my career going from HGV training at a big training camp. Everyone was expected to drive HGVs regardless of trade on that unit. Not uncommon to see there small girls barely 18 and still looking like kids jumping out of big DROPS waggons or behind the wheel of a full size coach. Seen a fair few (generally young) women driving out the gates and into harms way in Afghanistan too. I don't know how many go one to use that HGV qualification outside of the forces but loads of women in who have HGV and other qualifications on their licence. |
