Last band I saw was FFDP supported by Megadeth and Bad Wolves at the end of January 2020, Wembley Arena. Little did I know then it would be the last live gig I got to see probably until next year now |

Slayer was my first metal band. Followed by Anthrax. Couldn't stand Megadeth. Hatred Faith No More. Liked some Metallica. Then I went down the Suicidal Tendencies route. Then down in to Celtic Frost. Sabbat. Venom.
By my early 20's though I was getting in to writing my own music and the underground dance scene caught my ear but it was too commercial for my tastes. Then I got in to experimental music, like Einstürzende Neubauten, and finally found my way on the Industrial music.
Still listen to metal, with Rammstein being a favourite, though Sumo Cyco interest me, as do Jinjer, Lorna Shore, to name a few. |

Does anyone remember a Texan band by the name of The Union Underground? They had a fairly big hit with a song called “Turn me on Mr. Deadman” I had heard rumours they were getting back together |

metal and punk fan here.
Metallica, Sabbath, soad, slipknot, bad religion, nofx etc. Etc.
New bands I am digging at this moment: dead daisies, wayward sons, those damn crows, fever 333.
Listen to planet rock most days on the commute. Keeps me relatively sane... |

Im getting bit old for the gigs now but have seen a lot of the big bands. Bon Jovi when they first played Donnington (anybody who was there will remember the rain!), I was in the crowd at Donnington when Guns n Roses played for the first time and those two poor lads were killed in the crowd . Iron Maiden on the Somewhere in Time tour. ACDC when they were still fairly young and not pensioners like they are now. Muse, Megadeath (they were crap), Anthrax (awfull), Metallica, Whitesnake, The Cult, Kiss and many many more |

Metalhead since 1992. Lost count of the number of bands I've seen live. Defined my life for a long time.
Not sure it's a great soundtrack to swinging, but here we are.
Been on a bit of a Testament bender this morning. Goes with the hot weather. |

Well I'm old enough to have been snuck into see Maiden at the Ruskin Arms by my sister. I was 11 lol. So been around since NWOBHM, always loved Priest, 1st 3 Maiden albums, Venom of course, Angel Witch, Diamond Head, obviously Motorhead, saw them 1000s of times, Samson lol. Then when the yanks came Metallica, couldn't stand Megadeath, loved Anthrax...then into Nu Metal, absolutely love Slipknot, i have literally run 100s of miles listening to them and Machine Head. I really don't like FFDP or pretty much anything they play on Planet Rock other than the older stuff. Rammstein one of the best bands I have ever seen.
I also love prog rock too but that'll be a different thread, or, Different Strings as Rush might say |

Blaze Bayley is sorely underrated. Saw him a couple of times on the Silicon Messiah tour, and he absolutely wiped the floor with Helloween when he opened for them. |

That is a superb album. His Infinite Entanglement trilogy of albums is amazing and the live shows felt like arena shows in clubs, the songs are that epic. Always a really good atmosphere. |

I have been into metal and goth music ever since I was a teen,
attended many a Hard Rock Hell gig,
and seen so many different bands over the years it's hard to list them all.
Lemmie (god rest his soul) will always be my ace of spades...
Ozzie O has to be in the mix somewhere..
Judas Priest are tops
Iron Maiden are boss, dude can sing!!!
Disturbed are cool as.
Korn are brill.
Pantera rock
Tool are the dogs whatsits.
Better stop there or I am gonna go on all night... |

70s and 80s for me, especially Thin Lizzy my first love. Not one weak album and some great singles.
Add to Sabbath, Purple and all the way to AC/DC it’s the music that I go to when I need a pick me up.
No issue with the more modern stuff as I love the Foo Fighters, Metallica and Linkin Park (yes this is modern to me ) give me Motörhead, Gillan or Saxon and I’ll rock all night long (as Rainbow once sung) |

I love music! It’s always there for you no matter what. I’m more alt rock/ indie but love most genres to be honest.
I’ve missed going to Camden. Seen so many great bands & lots of mediocre!! But still always a good vibe.
I was fortunate enough to see Mumford n sons at the spread eagle pub with barley 20 people there. Such an amazing day. I’d never heard of them before but blew me away.
Babyshambles, libertines & Pete Doherty are my favourite at the moment.
Hundred in the hands, first album is like yeah yeah yeahs meet blondie.
S L aves first album, they are superb live.
I struggle with large venues now, after seeing so many great bands in tiny venues & in the small hours! Shame Camden crawl doesn’t happen anymore.
I’d love to find a gig buddy actually, I could talk music all day. I play guitar too, so would love to jam with others. |
