Anyone used these? They go on like temporary tattoos, develop over 24 hours or so and are meant to last a couple of weeks if you take care of it properly.

They look really cool for people like me who don't want the commitment of a permanent tattoo

The right place

I definitely don’t want a permanent tattoo. But unless I was going to a fancy dress party or role play I would want a temporary one either.

"I get the idea of them but personally just get a tattoo.

"

I found out about them through an ad on YouTube and the comments section was full of people taking the piss out of people who were too "pussy" to get a tattoo. I don't really get why it's such a negative thing to not want to make a lifelong commitment?

Personally I like the way tattoos look but changing my body permanently for the sake of something I like now but might hate in 20-30 years isn't really something I would consider.

I don't think anybody should be taking the piss out of people who are getting temporary tattoos.

Everybody has the only choice of what they do with their body.

Personally for me it's commitment like any form of body modification you got to have the right mindset and choose the right artist artwork the right placement etc.

If you was getting a temporary tattoo of a design that you'd like and wanted to try out so if you like it in the positioning the size etc thats a great way to find out if it's right for you or not.

I had 7 and 1/2 hours on my ribs and I used numb cream.

People call me a pussy to which I don't go fuck. I'm making it easier for the artist to get his job done with out me moving all the time.

Are they quite expensive?

It depends on the size but the ones I was looking at were around £7/8

Not for me personally as I have the real thing but I can see the merit of them as an aid to decide whether you want a permanent one as you can get used to the look of it.

Of course it won't necessarily be the design you actually want and certainly won't prepare you for the sensation of being inked (some hate the pain others enjoy the feeling and you won't know until you do it)

I quite like the idea of these temporary ones, especially for a night out or special event.

The pussy comments make me laugh as I see the recent fashion for tattoos to be exactly that, a fashion fad. The exclusivity or rebelliousness of having a tattoo has been watered down significantly over the last decade.

So why not just get a temporary one and not follow the fashion police.

I get what you mean about them being more "fashionable" now however many people, myself included, have them for personal reasons and couldn't care less whether it's popular or not

Using them as an aid is a good idea, but I would be using them without the intention of getting a real one. More as a temporary accessory.

Equally as valid a reason. Tbh it's no different to henna tattoos in my eyes and people don't make "pussy" comments about those

I’m sure they have some deeper meaning, that’s the common reason most people say when they get ‘inked up’.

However as I’m not aware of everyone’s deeper meanings, I’ll continue to see you all as following the latest fashion of having tattoos. So those without are now the true rebels by not following the crowd.

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

An old girlfriend of mine used the temporary tattoos to help disguise herself for photoshoots.

We had pictures published in Escort magazine and made sure the tattoos were in the photos.
