-That's a great scene.
I really like a scene in an 80s film called "made in britain".
There's a scene in it where a social worker explains to tim roth's character in a diagram, on a blackboard, where his life is heading. (Roth's character is on his way to becoming a full blown neo nazi at this point.)
It's brilliantly written & acted.
-Very powerful/memorable. |

That was mine too, until QT bumped it to #2 with the opening scene in 'Inglorius Basterds'; Mr LaPadite trying to keep his cool while Hans Lander questions him about the Dreyfuss'. I actually held my breath in fear! |

"Scene d'amour" from Vertigo (1958)
Although of course much of it was suppressed by the film code at the time, Hitchcock succeeded in conveying the sexual inferno between James Stewart and Kim Novak as clear as daylight.
In a later taped interview, "Hitch" named the scene "The Erection"... |

"Red walking down that gorgeous country lane on his trip to see Andy again....the freedom he must have felt, it's a truly heartwarming scene "
There's a few youtube film channels that show that road, in the countryside, I think it's in ohio..
it's quite fascinating if you're a film nut like me.

Rocky Horror Picture Show... Brad and Janet, backing up to the lift, that is coming down with a foot tapping, lingerie wearing Sweet Transvestite, called Frankenfurter, in it... Gives me goosebumps and makes me go all girly and over excited, knowing what is about to come |

"final court room scene from a few good men"
Watching that now
My favourite Op, is the end of ‘Streets of Fire’ our hero after saving his ex girlfriend, who happens to be a really hot singer, kisses her and heads to the exit.
She goes out on stage and sings a song written by Jim Steinman called ‘Tonight is what it means to be young’ he turns briefly to watch her sing, then exits. Walks away presumably to disappear from her life or until she needs him again.
Brilliant |

"When Frank comes down in the elevator.... Get so excited just hearing the music! RHPS"
Great scene.
I can’t tell how many time I’ve seen this movie and stage show but that’s mostly to maintain our anonymity but dinners with Richard O’ in the was everything you’d hope it would be. |

The Amish barn-raising scene from Witness (1985) starring Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis.
Why?
It is astounding what can be achieved when like-minded people come together for a common purpose.
A bit like swinging; two couples cum together for an evening of debauchery with no holes barred; culminating in DP then DVP, and possibly use of a strapon, or two.
Witness (1985)! |

"Peles overhead kick in escape to victory.
It’s also how Max Von Sydow’s character a Nazi Officer appreciates the beauty and skill of that goal, by standing up and applauding it. "
It adds to it doesn’t it! Lost count the number of times I’ve pressed the rewind button! |

Scarface when Tony first meets Omar, I thought that was great. Omar offers Tony and Manny a job of unloading a boat, and Tony refuses saying “Who do you think we are baggage handlers” |

The whole ‘Gary Oldman - Egg Roll’ scene…
“ Now see, we're sitting down here--ready to negotiate. And you've already given up your shit. I'm still a mystery to you. But I know exactly where your white ass is comin' from. So if I ask if you want some dinner, and you grab an egg roll and started chattin' down, I'd say to myself "This mf’er, he's givin' out like he ain't got a care in the world" and who knows? Maybe he don't.” |

And says “I’m older and have more insurance” |

Lots of the above are in my favourites list but here’s a couple more.
The re-entry scene in Apollo 13 when the capsule is in radio silence and then the chutes open to everyone’s relief. The tension is palpable.
Then, whilst not the best film in the genre, in Star Wars, revenge of the Sith, when Darth Vadar is created. That moment when the mask is lowered and all the music stops, then we hear that breathing noise for the first time.
Took me back to being 7 again and seeing SW for the first time.

Another favourite scene of mine is when The Losers Club take on Pennywise and Richie starts it off by saying that badass line "WELCOME TO THE LOSERS CLUB, ASSHOLE!" before hitting Pennywise in the face with a baseball bat. |
