Is it me or is it simply too hot???? When abroad on holiday I can sit and soak up the rays no problem especially if a nice cool beer on hand but here at home I hate it, even with the cool beer i find it really uncomfortable

In bed at night it's to warm to have too much fun without being all sweaty almost as soon as the fun begins,,,,, any tips appreciated

(And no, we haven't got Aircon in room)

????

It's the humidity here that makes it unpleasant. We were in Mallorca just over a week ago, 35°C and lovely. Not anywhere near as tolerable here at 22°C.

Difference? 70% humidity here vs 40% humidity in the village in Mallorca (according to AccuWeather).

couple, us we him her.

I hate the heat and am absolutely no good in the sun.

I genuinely can't understand how people can just sit in the sun for hours.

Two / three minutes and my skin feels like it's on fire.

I feel like it's delightfully British to complain about the heat. Then complain when it's too cold, too wet, too cloudy and grey, and complain that summer isn't here "it's July, where is it?" they say, then complain bitterly when it arrives!

Love it

It's really frustrating seeing people sit in the sun seemingly impervious to the heat.

Meanwhile I'm sitting inside like a dog panting trying to find a cool spot.

I'm Scottish and originally a redhead.. with tattoos..I'm in hiding! I won't complain about the heat...we don't see it often enough!

But my poor dogs are in the same boat.. rottie is too hot, lhasa apso has to be covered in suncream.. he hates it.

Walks now are 6am and 11pm... well out of the norm

I don’t complain about the heat, I do complain about people complaining about the heat though.

It’s still a very British thing to do but a touch more meta

I don’t like the heat, I never have. I don’t complain about the cold because I like the cold, although I never seem to actually get cold

Unless I’m abroad in a private pool, I don’t want heat

i lived in florida for a bit for work, it was unbearable, the humidity was higher than here and hotter, but every house had aircon so it was ok, lived in other hot countries like south africa and it was way hotter than here, but alot less humidity, and was lovely, so its defenatly the humidity thats the killer

The Town by The Cross

I cut my run to 30 mins this morning. Thought i'd get it in before the heat took hold but it was hot from the word go this morning.

Home for a cool bath and put on a cotton dress.....

Opened all the windows including double doors at front and back .....

So cool and shady here. I think it's because of the huge trees around the house. The sun hits the kitchen side in the afternoons though .........

It really is to hot to be bothering with shopping, driving or cooking.

I'm just going to chill

Apparently hot water bottles palced in the firdge or freezer provide comfort.

If you take them out and use them hat is, don't sit there without taking them out and curse my name for it not working.

If you have a fan then put some ice cubes in a bowl and place it under the fan and slightly behind the blades. I'm told it sucks the cold air up and blows it in your direction
