Is Romance dead in this day and age.....? Or just a temporary blip with the way the world is at this moment in time......

Romance means different things to people.. some like flowers and to be wined/dined shebang.

Romance to me is doing the little daily things like housework, laughing until we cry, bingeing boxsets cuddling in bed and cooking the tea.

I prefer real life romances, not fairy tale ones

I don't think it's dead but I think the concept of it has, over time, changed some what which isn't surprising given societal changes, the internet's unstoppable rise and cultural beliefs.

So harking back to the Victorian times, the man was very much the wooer, the woman the passive wooed. Grand gestures were needed to show that a man could afford to keep a woman in the life of luxury she was accustomed to. And that was the romantic zeitgeist of the time.

I think now, what with people being almost "replacable", life being far more fast paced and mobile, romantic gestures involve spending quality time together, in whatever guise that might come.

I'm with Hotwife Seductions over romance means different things to different people. For me, it's little things you do for and say to each other.

Hope not. I think people will always crave those moments and gestures which make them feel wanted and special, that lift our lives out of the ordinary. As Meli and Hotwife have said that may take on new forms or mean different things to different people, but that desire for loving attention and care is not going to disappear.

Romance certainly isn’t dead in this house…it’s the little things as well as the obvious romantic gestures.

Little love notes, breakfast in bed, holding hands whilst watching a film…

Romance, as opposed to feeling loved, varies, as those above me have said.

Romance is supposed to exemplify that the object of your desire is wanted, missed, coveted. However you choose to romance your desired, it should leave them in no doubt how you feel about them.

Sometimes, it’s as simple as a message that says ‘I miss you’ when they least expect it.
