"Scientists claim they can predict early signs of dementia with 93% success by putting a little black box in your car and analysing your driving. "

It was a news story on the BBC earlier in the week, actually very interesting saying that by having a GPS tracker fitted to the car they can analyse the data from this they have found evidence that they can identify key indicators of early onset dementia due to the changes in driving style.
Very interesting and a total game changer if it turns out to be accurate. |

You're wasting your time. Tom just paraphrases the news.... But it's out there and he doesn't make it up |

My father became a menace on the road and recently was diagnosed with mixed dementia. Yes, a sample size of 1, but his driving was exactly as described in a BBC news article I read on the topic. Very glad we persuaded him to stop driving last summer. |

Mine was similar, guessing they all are though, think it's something to do with routine and not needing to think much about what you are doing/where you are going and then the brain throwing a wobbler. |

"Thought this was an idea for a new sport at first.
I don't think it'll catch on"
They did try getting it set up as a competitive motorsport but all the entrants couldn't remember where they were going on the way and it just got dropped. |
