Type??? How about putting it in your profile?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Ok wee bit of a rant:
Profile states looking for M,F,MF,MM,FF etc etc aged 18-99.
You message that profile (politely) then receive a reply (woo hoo!!) sorry you’re not my type.
Sorry? What’s your type? - every adult within 100 miles according to your profile.. then said profile puts an update on saying “getting sick of all the messages I’m gettin” - well you’ve cast a bloody big net darlin…
Just a little bit of effort wouldn’t go amiss when setting up the profile and some of these are over a year old.. this happens a lot..
I mean I should be happy that they bothered to reply at all.. maybe they just thought I was pig ugly… |

Sometimes saying you're not my type does mean just that, they do find you pig ugly
Their view is, of course, subjective
Either way, it's just a more polite way of saying they aren't attracted to you
The fact they do reply is good, because we hear so many complaints from folk saying they rarely get any of their messages answered
As for their lack of filters, that's their problem, not yours
You only make it yours by going 'on one' when they politely decline your advances
That attitude says more about you than their lack of filters says about them.
Sorry, but I think this post doesn't reflect you in a positive light |

It was meant to be humorous and a bit tongue in cheek .
And I don’t ever take offence as there’s plenty of fish out there - but it can’t hurt to write in your bio but what you do normally find attractive? Plenty of profiles are very precise in that regards and more power to them. Saves everyone time. |

Your post was definitely lacking humour.
Happy fishing! |

To me sorry your not my type normally suggests the attraction isn't there.
It would be impossible to write everything in a profile that you find attractive and don't find attractive, as it varys so much from person to person.

"I am fed up with being seen as too chubby all the time"
Get yourself on some different sites then
There are sites for chunky guys and those that admire them
The dynamic is very different to Fab, bigger guys DO struggle here, especially ones on the shorter side
As a bigger guy, over 50, who is also a short, hairy, bald, speccy slaphead, I know first hand it's an uphill struggle
I don't moan though cos it's my choice to be here and besides, I accept that whilst they don't want to fuck, it doesn't stop me being treated with respect and friendliness |

What she said ^ It's a nice way of saying there's no attraction. It's a hazard of fab life, take it for what it is and move on. Swim into someone else's net, there's plenty out there |

If you wrote all your likes and dislikes your profile would look like you are ranting.
Plus what we find unattractive on one person could look attractive on another.
Yes some profiles could have some ideas of what is attractive to them - we have it in ours, but it’s there as a guide and we hope that we will attract likeminded people due to our profile.

I was more bothered that the said profile put a post up saying they were getting too many messages - I wasn’t particularly bothered about them
saying I wasn’t their type in fairness.. |

I like tall guys with dark hair, olive skin and brown eyes. Doesn’t mean I’m attracted to every guy who fits that description. They can look like that and still not be my type.
If I put this on my profile, every guy who fitted that description would definitely kick off “but I look like that!!” |

No I get that totally - I find myself attracted to different types of women and if you were to ask me what it is about them sometimes I couldn’t tell you, sometimes I could though… |

If women write a long list of what we're looking for, we get called high maintenance.
Also, attraction is subjective, someone may be tall and athletic and within my desired age rage but that doesn't guarantee that I'll be into him. Plus I'm just as easily put off by a status update, photos or certain pet peeves that may be in their profiles or message. |

Status updates that contain the word nasty? |
