I sit outside and watch them in the evenings sometime. We had about 6 last year, only seen 3 this year so far. Used to have one fly around my head on the walk home from work around 11pm

That's brilliant! We used to have bats flying over our garden.

We have to make do with the fake ones in our bedroom now though.

Love bats. Not seen one in years, I moved to this flat nearly 5 years ago and hear an owl quite often through the night but have yet to see it. Would love to find it and get a photo.

I have horseshoe bats roosting in my loft, which is a bloody pain as I can’t yet use the space and I’ve been in this house now for 9 months

I have a group of them that fly around my garden most evenings - I love the silence of their flight. You try and hit them with a tennis racquet though - evasive little tykes! ** shakes fist **

I’ve often wondered if everyone else in the village is standing in their garden, Admiring their very own bat display by other bats, or whether it’s the same troupe moving from one garden to the next, entertaining everyone

That tattoo sounds amazing, I have a list of tattoos to get if I can ever afford it and one is of a lace style bat.

I’ve a family, Mum, Dad and baby, they drop out the eaves every night as it gets dusky. Love to watch them. One came inside last summer as the bifolds were open. Gave me a display in the comfort of my own kitchen.
